BUCKLE UP cowboy, because this ship is gonna take you for a ride on the wilder side of combat.

The Ranseur is an improvment on concept of my original Siren aircraft, a light, fast, highly maneuverable attack aircraft for taking down even the game's heaviest enemies, the Ranseur is a purpose-built dreadnaught killer & trophy-fighter.
The ship is a flight-combat Phenom, with yaw and pitch a uniform 60. With High--G standard lift, this aircraft explodes upward into maximum speed combat maneuvers. Made to utilize an Upthrusting roll combat maneuver to dodge pretty much ALL turret fire, the ship has the slimmest, trimmest form possible, with a light decoy at the Bottom-most tip of the nose, to attract turret fire to the lowest point of the ship, & then roll Up and over it, and it is VERY good at it. Even in my own previous combat ships, which are manueverable and trim in their own right, maintaining as long a distance as possible to avoid shield-strikes was a high priority, they could safely operate from Maximum weapons range and about 150m closer than that without taking shield strikes. The Ranseur can maneuver and dodge nearly all fire up to 500-600m from a Dreadnaught ( 500m inside of max weapons range ) and suffer virtually Zero shield-strikes, for extended and accurate fire at ranges previously thought unsafe & untenable. & The ship is as snub-nosed as was practical/possible to bring the weapons on your wings into range at the furthest possible distance from your enemy. Not only can the craft operate at insanely short distances, and your Nose to rear span is short, bringing all weapons to bare as quickly as possible once you've entered your enemies weapons range.

The Ranseur has a full Xeno & Heavy glass combination sheath ( 2 blocks thick in vital areas ) around it's component & pilot sections. The ship was built to be as small and tight as possible to reduce the armor required to wrap it's vital components, thus reducing the ship's weight, resulting in a ship with insane flight characterics & speed, and also a generous turret compliment, all in a non-quantum airframe. Each respective Component section in the ship is compartmentalized, to prevent catastrophic loss of the ship, every component section is explosion tested and no section will breach another component section if it's blown. It's engine compartments on the wings use internal Barrier walls to prevent explosions jumping across the wing or destroying turrets. The loss of any thruster compartment destroys nothing but those thrusters, and the ship can operate and fly with only 1 of it's 4 engine clusters still operational. The ship was Debug explosion tested relentlessly, every external item on the ship can explode, including every turret and every thruster, and you & your ship's vital components will still be airlocked & undamaged.
At the rear of your ship is a Secure Xeno-wrapped CPU & Quantum storage section, storing up to 5 quantum cores, this section of the ship is segregated from all others so as not to attrract any fire, and not to suffer any explosive damage from other components. You can be SURE if you are knocked out of combat, you will be able to later retrieve the most valuable components of your ship.

The Ranseurs core is positioned at the front-most component section with it's Warp and Shield, behind 6 successive layers of Xeno, Xeno Lagshot, and heavy glass armor, The Ranseur is built as a shield-fighter, but it can suffer sustained and significant damage to it's bow and still be 100% combat operational and capable of all the same maneuvers and speed. If you do get knocked out of combat from the front, your core goes first, and the rest of your ship is spared catastrophic damage/loss, for easy repair and retrieval of the craft.

At just 3 Kilotons, The Ranseur is a highly efficient hunter-killer-salvager, with over 130.000 conventional fuel storage in its tanks, no more checking your fuel while you're fighting, this ship can fight for 3+ hours in combat maneuvers, shields on, on a single tank of conventional fuel.

Utilizing a long range, efficient & low-ammo-cost compliment of 24 Plasma turrets and 4 Emps, with 2 miniguns, the Ranseur will rip the shields off a Dreadnaught at impressive speeds and tuck that big girl in for the long sleep. with 3 x 320k Storage, 2 ammo, 1 harvest, the ship has a purpose-built mounting above the cockpit for mining and salvaging, and holds enough ammo & fuel to kill 3-4 dreadnaughts. & It can easily store the retrieved thrusters, shield, turrets and components of an entire dreadnaught.

More than anything else, This is a ship you'll need to fly to understand, "yaw and pitch at 60" might not sound sexy, but when you sit into the cockpit of this craft and press space bar, you will feel the RUSH of being pushed into your seat and immediately accelerating to maximum speeds. It will operate at maximum speeds in virtually ANY maneuver your sweaty little fingers can fathom.

When the business is done and your enemy lays bloodied & defeated before you, take command of your 4 Heavy Leasers for precision coring. You have an additional 2 spots for up to 6 Pilot-fired weapons, tight to the cockpit for precise aiming inside of 1 block spaces.

To pilot this ship in combat, simply close to maximum weapons range and begin an Upthrusting roll ( Space bar + E or Q ), making W or S ( forward/back ) adjustments to stay in range. Your finger should never release space bar until the fight is over, and should be on either E or Q 99% of the time. You can maneuver to one side of the enemy ship and jockey for the best firing positions using a maneuver I've dubbed the 'Roll walk', Rolling over one direction 180 degrees, and then rolling the other direction another 180 degrees, and then switching again, to move linearly in one direction around your enemy without ever dropping out of your Upthrusting roll. With 5 minutes of practice you'll see the virtue of this craft, it is virtually impervious to all fire up to 600-700m distance when performing these maneuvers, which are simple , ergonomic, and can be seen & understood in the listed youtube videos of my fights in the craft this morning.

Not only can this ship kill dreadnaughts, All of my ships do that, but it makes it easy, it is so fast, tight, and maneuverable that it is extremely forgiving of slipped fingers or heavy-handed mousing.

cant figure out why this BP stays red and not spawnable to RE, i stripped it of everything but cant find the problem.

I was just speaking with a mate about making a new, updated version of the Ranseur Jebe. May be a couple of weeks though. If you like the Ranseur, the Dauntless is faster, handles better, and can dodge fire just as well, if you'd like to give that a try in the meantime.

This ship is amazing. Even though its small, it can dodge pretty much everything. If you are careful you really don't have to worry about anything you go up against. What still boggles my mind is I've tried other larger ships made of full xeno, bastion shields, hundreds of turrets, while still having faster pitch,yaw, and roll values then this ship, but they can't dodge enemy fire like this does, so they can't hold up to as intense of combat as this can. I don't get get how this works so well, but it does. I love it. Thank you ArtemisRouge for this wonderful design :)

Any chance you are planning to make a slightly bigger version of this with say a full medical suite and ability to mount more turrets? While we don't NEED more turrets, more turrets typically means things die faster :)

Mace I believe it exceeds the standard 24 Plasma limit, so if turret limit rules are on on your server, that may be the cause, you can simply take it into creative, swap out some plasmas for missiles, and check it then.
