The Veiled Class Mod

"Tired of its senseless and endless life, it came here to seek its own demise."

A figure hidden behind veils. He keeps his secret as protection against the superstitious common men. The Veiled is kept alive forever by powerful necromancy, but against his own will. His body might be fragile, but it is an indestructible vessel for his own soul. Over time he learned to control the same power which cursed him. Perhaps it can bring his end, but it also keeps others from their end. He came to the very end of the world to find his long-awaited death, which time or simple methods cannot give him.



The Veiled possesses powerful healing and offensive abilities, but they all depend on how much he is willing to risk, because his power can only be used at the cost of his own life. Losing health empowers him, giving his skills new effects to weaken enemies or heal allies. The lower his health is, the greater the reward- but so is the risk. The peak of his power can be reached at the very edge, on Death's Door, where he gains access to two skills: a powerful heal, and a devastating attack. Yet freely dancing with death, his mind, so tired of life, is still vulnerable to horror and fear. He will suffer from stress on Death Door and has the same psyche as the living, giving him a normal chance to become Afflicted or Virtuous.

• When Veiled's HP lowers, his skills gain new properties in addition to their base effects. There are three levels of HP change: 70%, 40% and 10% of MAX HP. Extra effects do not replace each other! They all stack and exist alongside the base stats!
  
• Each HP level has its own visual effect attached to the combat animation, effect lasts few rounds and appear only at the moment of mode change;
  
• Properties of skills change in combat on skill panel too;
  
• All enemies base Death Blow Dealt Chance is 100%.

• His guild panel has excess text about the HP levels on skills that are not affected by them. Yes, it's not pretty, but it does not affect anything gameplay wise. Because of this, his combat skills can be changed with HP modes in combat. Skills that are not affected by HP levels look fine in combat too;

• It's highly preferrable to put him above Marvin Seo's Lamia and\or Sisters in mod loading order. It's needed for one of the town events to show up properly as intended.
  
• Crit effect: Self: Death Blow resist +10%, CRIT target: -10% Death Blow Chance;
  
• Death's Door buffs: Death Blow resist +10% (for 2 rounds), +3 SPD, +10 ACC, +5 CRT. Party: healing received 25% (2 rounds);
  
• He doesn't suffer Mortality debuffs, but will still have Heart Attack debuffs;
  
• Death Effect: Death Blow resist +20% (lasts for the whole quest) for the entire party;
  
• He cannot visit the Penance hall, Bar and Brothel, or have quirks connected to these activities;
  
• The Veiled is not religious;
  
• District: Athenaeum;
  
• He has three Town Events. Immediate recruit, resolve level to idle Veileds in Hamlet, and a special one;
  
• The Veiled can't die from blight;
  
• Limited one per party;
  
• He has over 800 lines of unique dialogue, including some for other Mods, like Ringmaster and Apostate;
  
• Predetermined Name: Zaleskar.
