Hyperbare chamber and diving bell

Description
This hyperbare chamber allows to create realistic conditions related to diving in deep water. It is used by specialized companies to keep their divers « at working pressure » sometimes during several days or weeks, so that only a final decompression phase is needed. It can also be used to easen the decompression, or for recovery after a diving accident.

As Stormwork doesn't manage air pressure, this is just a simulation.

How to use it ? (Note : you need to players two use it completely : 1 diver and 1 operator).

1 – Diver enters the room via the airlock (please close the doors after you), and enters the bell from the room.
2 – Diver releases the door magnet from inside the bell (push twice on the button). This will close the door of the room, as well as the door of the bell.
3 – The operator connects the bell to the ship's crane and lowers it into the sea (NB the ship is not supplied but you'll find a link to a suitable one at the end of the description).
4 – The divers switches the « equalize pressures » button, and can lower the bell to the desired depht. The pressure inside the bell will match the pressure outside.
5 – When at desired depht, the diver opens the lower hatch and can go for a swim. The water will not invade the bell.
6 – Once back in the bell, the diver closes the hatch, and set the current pressure on the keypad. The bell will keep this pressure constant as long as the keyboard's value is different form zero.
7 – The diver raises the bell back to surface, and switches the magnet door ON.
8 – In the meantime, the operator sets the desired pressure on the hyperbare chamber (external keypad). This pressure must be identical to the pressure of the bell.
9 – Using the crane, the operator sticks the magnet of the bell to the chamber.
10 – Once the connection is OK, if the pressure on the bell and the pressure on the room are the same, the diver can open the doors between them.
11 – the diver stays the time needed in the chamber, the airlock can be used to bring him food and supply (airlock operated from outside, hold the buttons when equalizing pressure or venting).
12 – the operator can gradually lower the pressure to follow the decompression steps of the diver.

Note : once the bell's door is open, the button stays active and doesn't give the possibility to close it. Switch off the magnet to close the door, or program a slightly different pressure (0,3 bar less). Then wait for 5s and the two doors will close.

Their is a safety on all door, they only open if the pressure is the same on either side.

Although this installation has no specific purpose in Stormworks gameplay it allows to turn any medium sized ship with a crane into a DSV (Dive Support Vessel), and I hope you'll enjoy it.

If you need a matching vessel, follow the link and you'll get the one shown in the pictures.

Their is a standalone version of the bell that can be used by a single player

Weird... this was designed before pressure was simulated in stormworks, so the pressure displayed on the dials is not the "real" pressure. There is only a check on the bell's value compared to the chamber's value to allow the door to be opened. Perhaps an interaction with the magnets and with the boat you were using?

*screws up between steps 8, 9 and 10, killing me and 3 sat divers and shoots the bell off the byford dolphin*

Thanks for noticing, I just modified it so that it really sticks to the standards. I will also have to rework my medical container too since it was built with the same frame...

Really cool , however the container/chamber is only 10 blocks tall the standard is 11
