Small scale 2-players Mann VS Machines map set in an industrial environment (a metalworking plant) with dynamic elements.

Looking for a new base of operation to organize their defense against the invading robots, MANN CO. settled in what seemingly was an ordinary metalwork factory, ignoring that this was in fact a Gray Gravel Co. facility. Trapped in what is now a new battlefield, MANN CO. mercenaries must prevent the robots and Gray Mann to take over the company!

MvM GD Caster2 is a 2 players MvM made as a submission for the Guardian Dynamica Contest on TF2Maps.net under the name Caster, originally made by Jack5 and incorporating missions by PDAExpert and random guy. Caster2 is my personnal build. This is a laboratory in which I experiment with features I usually do not use in my other projects (typically, the MvM gamemode).

Guardian is a MvM submode originally designed for the map Trust[tf2maps.net] in which two players defend two control points from waves of blood-thirsty robots, with no money collection and a focus on survival. Upgrade your mercenary with earnings granted at the end of the wave.
On Caster, not only will you fight against robots, giants and tanks, but dynamic hazards will hinder your progress and make survival more difficult!

Introducing molten metal: malfunction in the heat evacuation system make molten metal rise and cover most part of the bottom floor to burn players.

Introducing toxic gas: malfunction in the vent system liberate hazardous chemicals in the air that cover the upper floor to intoxicate players on conveyor belts.

INTERMEDIATE - Molten Mass
INTERMEDIATE - Policy Violation
ADVANCED - Blast Pit
ADVANCED - Breaking Meltdown
ADVANCED - Factory Fuel

Note: these were designed with only two players in mind. It is possible to play normal MvM (6 players) but that would ruin the purpose of the gamemode and make the missions easy, so to enjoy the true experience, play with one friend only.

You are welcome to post any feedback (bug reports, balance concerns, suggestions, kind words...) either in a discussion or to send it to me. I'll do my best to update the map as frequently as possible based on these reports.

Navigation mesh file included.

Instructions:
Put the maps/ and scripts/ folders from the zip archive into your tf/ folder in your local files.
Use tf_mvm_min_players_to_start 2 to set minimum players to start a game to 2 (or else it says "Waiting for players".)
To select a mission, use the vote menu.

Known issues:
-Obviously, Workshop support. Uploading a map to the Workshop change its name, so nav mesh file and pop files aren't tied to the map anymore. Use the link provided at the beginning to download the map, the nav and the pop files.
-Missing textures for some custom robots/molten metal/toxic gas. These weren't provided in time, I'll make my own ans add them at a later date.

Yes! I would love for the mission to be packaged with the rest. That would be awesome. I think Jack5 would like it being part of the mission list too.

Thanks! Yeah the left side upgrade station "doesn't exist", but that have been fixed in a version that I have yet to publish, in the following days, along with a few fixes. Do you know which corner the bots can get stuck at, so I can fix it ?

Also, thanks for the extra mission! I can package it with the others if you want to.

I commented on Gamebanana, but I'll put it here also. Please fix the following issues if possible:
Bots spawning on the top layer can potentially pathfind into a corner and get stuck (this is pathway top_right).
Left side upgrade station at spawn does not function. (Does not open the upgrade menu)

There is an update to fix a small issue, I'll change the folders to be a .zip so everyone can open it.

Well docteur whoa, i think only the original bots would work with romevision. i bet theres a console command for it.

No worries, the Tank shoots around itself so as long as you keep a reasonable distance you're good to go. There are some unfair missions, but they are being balanced too at the moment.

Regarding Romanvision, I am not sure since I don't have the item. I guess it would? Since it's MvM
