Vindholk Blackbow - Speed Yacht

Description
The Vindholk Blackbow is a 20 meter long speed yacht with a huge unfolding beach club rear deck. A large open main deck interior gives it more space than most boats in its class. It’s powered by 4 large diesel engines and can reach a top speed of 75 knots and has a range of almost 200km. Even as a yacht, it has lots of useful equipment like radar and lidar, and all the handheld equipment. It’s interior is designed to allow access to all areas onboard in order to perform repairs if necessary.

It’s designed with a focus on realistic operation with all the maneuvering possibilities and techniques as a real high speed water jet boat, and will also require the same type of skills and practice to master.

Start-up:

Go the bridge of the vessel and sit down in the driver seat.

To the right of the screens, flip the switch called “Bridge Power”

Flip the two engine switches to turn on the engines. Use the clutch buttons to engage the water jets.

A small screen on the front panel show the throttle of the two engines. You increase and decrease the throttle by tapping [W/S] or [Up/Down]

[W/S] controls the throttle of the port side engines. [Up/Down] controls the throttle of the starboard side engines. If you press the “Sync Engines Throttle” button, you will then control both engines with [W/S].

It is important that you use the trim to balance the vessel according to your speed and the conditions. In high waves it’s recommended that you take the trim down to -1, and in perfect conditions with no wind or waves to 1.

Running with the 7 as throttle level is the most economic and will give you the best range.

The computers

The two larger screens can display mostly whatever they want by pressing the “NEXT” button in the top left corner.

Two of the small screens displays stats to each of the two engines, like RPS, range, temperature, and fuel level.

The last screen on the panel shows any current alarms. You can press the “Mute” button on the screen to mute the alarm sound.

Autopilots
There are two types of autopilots on board. One is a normal “hold current heading” autopilot. And the other is a destination autopilot where you type in a waypoint on the keypad in front of the navigator.

To toggle the heading hold, you press [1]. A blue indicator light on the console tells you when the heading hold is on. If you start steering with [A/D] when the heading hold is on, this will automatically turn it off.

The destination autopilot can be toggled on with a button on the front console after you have entered the coordinates. A green light will tell when it is on. You can also enable the autopilot to stop at the destination, if not, the boat will continue to drive.

Power and Fuel

To refuel the vessel, you use the fluid hose anchor on either sides of the rear deck. They both connect to the same fuel tank.

To recharge the vessel, you use the electric cable anchor on either sides of the rear deck. They both connect to the main battery.

Could use a bit of a rework. For some reason, in the updated version of the game, the ship abnormally steers to the right. I didn't even touch any of the autopilot stuff.

Does this have a bilge pump system? I may or may not have partially flooded it after a minor collision....
