How to form the ottoman empire. BftB Only!

Step 1: Initial Focuses

Start as Turkey in HOI4 and complete the initial focuses until you reach the first election focus. These focuses typically involve building up your industry, infrastructure, and military. Its also important to note that the election focus is locked until you have formed the Demokrat Parti.

Step 2: Support the Opposition

To achieve the desired outcome, always support the opposition during the events and decisions that arise during the focus tree. Choose options that grant the most democratic support gain.

Step 3: Elect the Demokrat Parti

In order to get the intended results, elect the Demokrat Parti during the elections. This decision is crucial for the further events in the focus tree.

Step 4: Purge the Officers

Proceed to complete the focus "Purge the Officers." This focus will trigger a civil war, allowing the officers to come back in a decision that (should) happen when the civil war starts, occasionally it does happen later than intended and are bugs, I recommend to reload the save of the civil war if it doesnt fire immediately on the first few days of the civil war.

Step 5: Civil War and the Final Focus

Its pretty easy to win the civil war, just constantly out-maneuver the rebels and take Istanbul and other victory points.

Step 6: Reform the Ottoman Empire

Upon reaching the "Pivot to the Past" focus, you should have the necessary conditions to reform the Ottoman Empire. Completing this focus in its entirety will fire an event and return the Ottoman Empire for good, or however long until Germany or the USSR comes knocking.

every time i get over 40% democratic party support and hold the first elections it only gives the option to go with the republicans. i can not continue down the civ tree because i have to get the adnen anderez alected and cannot since my party is not allowing me to select him during the elections.
