Is he off the game now?
Sure, you eventually learn to compensate for the behaviour of the boat by constantly making small, skittish taps on the button, but it doesn't correct for the fact that the underlying behaviour is simply wrong.
I don't know what causes a 1 second press of the button to translate into a 6-second, 160-degree turn (I assume it is a compromise to achieve the slow speed behaviour), but if possible, it should be corrected.
I would do it myself if I knew how to, butI only bought this game 2 days ago.
And while this boat has come to be by far my favourite, I simply cannot get over the way it steers at high speeds.
Oh and it needs nightmode for the screens. They are too bright at night.
Thanks and happy days.
However, while I utterly love the slow speed behaviour of this boat, BY FAR the most overwhelming reason why the steering feels "wrong" in this boat is the way it behaves at high speeds.
At full speed and in calm seas, a 1 second application of steering input will result in a sustained 5-6 second turn that results in the boat going nearly 180-degrees (150-to-165 is more accurate) the other way around.
And it is utterly baffling.
So all too often while cruising at high speed a small input to make a turn devolves into a back-and-forth oscillation that only gets worse the more you try to fight it.
It is extremely counter-intuitive.
I've read all the comments here, regarding the steering. And having worked in and around boats of different types a long time ago, I agree with and appreciate that jet boats have a certain steering delay.
But with all due respect, I think the author is missing the point of these complaints here.
But before I get into that, one thing should be corrected. Jet boats are notorious for having awful steering response at slow speeds, yes. But at high speed/high power, the opposite is true. They are renowned for having a quick response and a tight turn radius. So the slight delay at full speed feels out of place.
