FOX ECM | Radio Jammer / Jamming Pod

Description
The The FOX ECM Radio Jamming Pod is a ready-to-integrate jamming solution for your aircraft and ships. The system has the capability of rapidly detecting static frequencies, sniffing raw data from them, and jamming them. This is an ideal solution for protection against radio guided laser and semi-active missiles like the Blufin and Spike.

Features:
  • Rapid Frequency Scanning Up To 500ch/sec
  • Deep Scan / Rapid Scan Modes
  • Frequency Sort-By-Strength
  • 5ch Contact Memory
  • Simultaneous Scan-While-Jam
  • Up to 5ch Active Jamming
  • Channel Data Sniffing & Display
  • Compact Design
  • Automatic & Manual Tick Delay Compensation Settings (Microcontroller)

Mode
Description
System On/Off
To turn on the system click the yellow box in the upper right. To turn off the system, hold down the green C clear button for 2 seconds.
Deep Scan Mode/ Rapid Scan Mode
Users can toggle scan speed modes by clicking on the yellow frequency scanning box, activating Rapid Scan Mode. Deep Scan is slower, to best ensure that active frequencies aren't skipped. Rapid Scan is 8x faster to quickly cover a much larger frequency band, but at the cost of channel accuracy. Rapid Scan may fail to detect active channels, or detect them at an incorrect frequency. It's best used to find the general range of an active channel and then re-scan that range in Deep Scan Mode.
Tick Delay Compensation
If the frequency channel is incorrect due to tick delay of the code, server, or other shenanigans, determine the amount of correction needed and manually set the tick delay compensation override check box and slider on the FOX microcontroller to put it into manual tick delay.

Limitations:
Scanning and jamming is tricky business in Stormworks. With the potential for so many perfect "1hz" frequencies to choose from, and the need to perfectly scan one at a time, and jam them distinctly, its far easier to hide and scramble radio than it is to find it and jam it. For realism sake, players may want to abide by role-play rules when it comes to what channels are available for their use, i.e. 1-20000 (if we emulate 5mhz/ch bandwidth within the 0-10Ghz band). In real life, there's really only 300Ghz of usable spectrum, which is more like 10-30Ghz or less of usable semi-omni-directional spectrum for PTMP data links. It's far easier to scan and jam than it is to reliably send/receive data. The opposite is true in SW. So, while this jammer works well within a set of RP rules, outside of that there are far too many tricks that are possible in SW for a hardened radio system to be defeated by jamming. I mean, you can use negative frequencies. That's total bs. lol

Known Issues:
Clearing memory with a custom scan range set sometimes crashes out the frequency memory Lua block, causing it to not display found frequencies. Until I find the bug, resetting the scan range to a 0,0 default and cycling the system power seems to fix it in most cases.

Special thanks to:
Blurred Dev for his incredible help with this project and helping teaching me Lua! Thanks Blurred!

Hey, it would be really nice if this system was able to work with the RX directional antennas,
It would allow for greater range and for only jamming specific targets

Hey, Could you please post an Modifyed version of that System for Jet Aircraft? maybe even make it use an 2x3 Monitor?

Just mount it on an awacs plane and connect up the logic and ur good to go!

If you try to cut and paste, everything stops working.

I think I just missed something but I can't find what does that LK option mean. What it does please?

It would be really nice if you could make it capable of jamming video frequencies as well.

Very useful electronic warfare pod. Installing a keep moving box on the pod will greatly increase the working distance of the pod. In addition, if you can, can you make a remote control version? I want to use it as a drop jammer or mounted on a UAV. Thank you so much!!!
