Eternal Return:BS & Unity Engine Games Win 10 (TEMP) Crash Fixes
Автор: Avnu
Getting Started ..

These fixes work well for Intel/Nvidia Users with that Unity Windows 10 Memory leak issue that causes Unity games to crash randomly..

These workarounds should reduce your crash time for every 1-2mins to 1-5 hours the least..

Should also work for anyone else experiencing crashes as well and for majority of unity steam based games.

Step 1:Configurations
1 :Find your Eternal Return Game Folder

Copy and paste this to quick find your Eternal Return folder
Location: >> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Eternal Return <<

  • Right click the Exe and apply these following settings in the compatibility tab.
    Press Apply/Ok..

    2 :Eternal Returns Launch Options

Open Steam Navigate to the ET:BS Launch Options

    Location: >> Home>Library>ET:BS>Gear Icon>Properties>Set Launch Options <<

Here we Apply a few Universal unity commands
    -force-d3d11

Force use Directx11 over 12 because Direct 12+Unity+Win10 = Memory Leak Crashes (Tell me otherwise?)

    -popupwindow

Borderless window for stable frames while windowed (This doesn't Increase your Performance over FullScreen or FullScreen Borderless doesn't give you less fps if your PC can handle it as well)
Just a user Preference if you're like me.

Step 2: Pre Game Setup(Extra Programs for Old/New CPUs) [Optional]
The optional section for that Extra 5-20 FPS boost

ER:BS is a pretty Graphic intensive game if youre struggling to play on Meduim settings with 30FPS this Section is for you...

Here we use Two programs
1:CoderBags Quick CPU
Download Link https://coderbag.com/product/quickcpu
Version 3.3.2.0

2: PCgameboost Smart Game Booster

(old) Steam Link https://store.steampowered.com/app/1278480/Smart_Game_Booster/

(UPDATED VERSION) Download Link https://www.pcgameboost.com/index.php

Fitted with a Game Boost & Launcher>FPS Monitor>Free Driver Updater>Light System tweaks>Deep File Cleaner

Version 4.6 Free or 5.0 Beta works fine ill be using the beta 5.0 from the official website

<<QUICK CPU SETTINGS>>
After gettings quick cpu install Launch the application it takes a lil bit to configure on first launch...
Here we will use the Automatic Maximum Performance settings to avoid issues (CONFIGURE MANUAL SETTINGS AT YOUR OWN RISK!)
and the Quick Cpu Power Scheme

<<GAMEBOOSTER SETTINGS>>
After Installionation.. Launch Game Booster 5.0 & Find the ER:BS Game EXE again
Location: >> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Eternal Return <<
Step1

Step 2

Step 3

*Pick and disable your processes according
*Windows services majority can be disabled
*Non windows services all can be disabled
*Others is Others XD

Now click the ER:BS Icon Then the Boost Button and youre Good to go
Step 3: In-Game Settings/Desktop Resolutions Trick
Out Game VS In Game Resolution Trick

Note: This Trick works for majority of games with Fps issues>High Ram Req Crashes>Bottle Neck PCs> High DPI FULLSCREEN & Non Full Screen scaling.

Right Click your Desktop & click Display Settings
Lower your desktop resolution to either:
1366x768
1280x768
1280x720
1024X720
800x600
720x480(Custom Reso)
640x480(Custom Reso)

Ill be Using 1366x768 for example 15-30 fps >1280x768 for 29-45 fps>800x600 for40-60+ fps
GFX Settings Low & Normal

Launch ER:BS From Steam Or GameBooster(Optional(with Game booster you'll be able to monitor Ingame Fps easily since the Steam counter doesn't work for me)

InGame Settings
1366x768 for example >1280x768 for 60 fps>800x600 for 61+ fps
Low-Medium settings

All info is marked with VSync Off for max fps..
*Settings are marked as:
Desktop reso X Game reso X GFX = 1366x768 x 1366 x HIGH (Easy)

1366x768 X 1366x768 X Normal(Med) X 18 FPS

800x600 X 1366x768 X Normal(Med) X 39 FPS

1280x768 X 1268 x768 x LOW X 41 FPS

800x600 X 1268 x768 x Normal(Med) X 47 FPS

800x600 X 1268 x768 x LOW X 53 FPS

800x600 X 600x480 ?? (Missing 80 pixels stock reso??) x LOW X 56 FPS

800x600 X 600x480 ?? (Missing 80 pixels stock reso??) x Meduim x 52FPS

This Should Reduce your crash rate By alot I didnt add GFX(INTEL/NVIDIA/RADEON INFO panels because the problem isnt a GFX issue More of a Screen render Vram blah blah techy talk

Ps. i just started like 3 days and i had to fix my crash issue over that time I really dig yuki I might make a Guide on him if i get up to par in time already 180LP L:)
