The 1.40 update brought about some much needed lighting improvements for ETS2. The new lighting system rendered most lighting mods unusable because of the newly updated flare data and a restructured file library. Performance of vehicle lights has, on the whole, been greatly improved in 1.40. But there are still plenty of lighting mods out there awaiting updates by their authors. Please be patient! Modders have lives too!


I was never happy with the performance of the standard in-game beacons, so today, I thought I would experiment with some files and do something about it! :D


This basic mod simply changes the flash properties of SCS beacons and vehicle warning lights in the game.

Player Trucks & Trailers:
- Increases brightness and speed of Radiant rotating beacons.

AI Trucks,Trailers, Service and Emergency Vehicles:
- Increases brightness and speed of rotating beacons.
- Changes brightness, flash patterns and speed of LED beacon bars.


- Replace beacon models.
- Change beacon colours or offer new ones.
- Add or remove tuning part slots.
- Use version-specific game data.
- Edit third party beacon mods.
- Cook your dinner. ;)


This mod uses a modified flare file from the game, so it may also increase brightness of third party lighting mods. Bear this in mind if you're using beacon mods with psychedelic flash patterns!
