Adler

The Adler was the first locomotive to be used successfully commercially in Germany. It was built in England in 1835 before being shipped over to Germany and was used to great success. Here it is in Brick Rigs, rightfully deserved as it's one of the early successful locomotives and what's more, there's no exterior pistons for me to have to model, so it was very simple for me to make! It's got the front buffers and an exterior red chassis around the boiler. The boiler is in a nice dark green and gold, with a tall smoke stack which also has gold on it. There's also two headlights at the front of the train. The central wheels are larger than the others and they are what powers the locomotive. At the back is the firebox and footplate while a simple tender is being pulled behind it.

Top speed: 19 mph.

Crew: 1 - driver.

Enjoy this new train! It's another for the collection and this has got to be one of the more well known early locomotives that I've made. It works well and was easy to build due to there not being any exterior pistons or workings!
