Improved stats for the Jagged Crown, including an enchantment that focuses on the Crown’s ability to store the power of all the High King’s of Skyrim to have previously worn it.

A means of re-acquiring the Jagged Crown following the end of the Civil War quest line.

Improved stats for the Helm of Yngol.

Improved stats for the Ancient Helmet of the Unburned.

Two new helmets: the Blooded War-Helm and the Dragonguard Mantle.

ORIGINAL STATS
Heavy Armor: 23 (equivalent to a Daedric Helmet)
Enchantment: None

NEW STATS
Heavy Armor: 23 (unchanged)
Enchantment: Reduces recharge time between shouts. Grants you the Essence of Kings.

THE ESSENCE OF KINGS
The Jagged Crown is said to contain the power of every High King who has ever worn it. This mod allows you to make use of this with the Lesser Power, Essence of Kings, which lets you summon up the essence of one of five High Kings from Skyrim’s history. You can only access one of these enhancements at a time, but you can also switch between them freely with the Essence of Kings.

Kings:
Harald’s Essence: Fortify Two-Handed and Speech by 25%.
Hjalmer’s Essence: Fortify Alteration and Illusion by 25%.
Vrage’s Essence: Fortify One-Handed and Restoration by 25%.
Gellir’s Essence: Fortify Heavy Armor and Block by 25%.
Borgas’ Essence: Fortify Archery and Sneak by 25%.

HOW TO OBTAIN
The Jagged Crown is obtained through the Civil War quest line, but you have to give it up immediately to progress through the quest (please note: the Jagged Crown is not modified when you claim it during the Civil War quest line; you will only notice the changes once you reclaim it later).

Once you have completed the Civil War quest line, you can obtain the Jagged Crown by travelling to the new Nordic ruin, Thangel Drun (for its location, see the last picture in the images above above). The ruin is being used as an outpost for Thalmor agents intent on using the Crown to destabilise the new found peace in Skyrim. To access the ruin, you must claim a key from a Thalmor Guard who will only be standing outside once the Civil War is done. Inside, you will find a chest in which the Crown is being temporarily stored.

You can also claim the Jagged Crown prematurely. Near the entrance to Thangel Drun, there is a sconce. Activating this sconce will give you the option to manually spawn the Thalmor Guards, allowing you to kill them, take a key and access Thangel Drun. This will let you claim the Jagged Crown at any time. This option is lore-breaking, but I have included this option for those unconcerned with lore-immersion.

ORIGINAL STATS
Heavy Armor: 21 (equivalent to an Ebony Helmet)
Enchantment: Increases Frost Resistance by 30%.

NEW STATS
Heavy Armor: 21 (unchanged)
Enchantment: Increases Frost Resistance by 30%. Grants you Yngol’s Stratagem.

YNGOL’S STRATAGEM
Yngol’s Stratagem is a lesser power you can use to mark a primary, secondary and tertiary target when not in combat. You will inflict 35% more damage and receive 35% less damage from the primary target, and these values are changed to 25% for the secondary target and 15% for the tertiary. Marking a target does not give away your position, and targets can be unmarked by using the lesser power on them again.

Essentially, Yngol’s Stratagem allows you to prepare for the tougher battles you might have to face, providing an advantage in battle for those who take a moment to plan their attack before charging into a fight. While you can use the power for any and every conflict you face, it will be most useful in large scale battles.

HOW TO OBTAIN
The Helm of Yngol can be found in Yngol Barrow in Eastern Eastmarch.

ORIGINAL STATS
Heavy Armor: 15 (equivalent to an Iron Helmet)
Enchantment: Increases Fire Resistance by 40%.

NEW STATS
Heavy Armor: 19 (equivalent to a Steel Plate Helmet)
Enchantment: Grants you the Unburned Aegis which, when summoned by offensive fire spells, makes you immune to fire damage.

THE UNBURNED AEGIS
The Unburned Aegis only comes into effect once you’ve been hit by an offensive fire spell. Once summoned, the Aegis will remain with you for 30 seconds, during which time you are immune to fire damage. The drawback is that you still have to take the full brunt of the first fire spell that summons the Aegis.

HOW TO OBTAIN
The Ancient Helmet of the Unburned is hidden deep in Labyrinthian, and so you will only be able to gain it once you’ve unlocked this ruin through the Mage’s Guild quest line. It is located in the last cell in which can also be found Morokei, the dragon priest.

THE BLOODED WAR-HELM
STATS:
Heavy Armor: 20 (equivalent to an Orcish Helmet)
Enchantment: Fortifies your Health by 50 points. Grants you the power to invoke the Blood Oath.

THE BLOOD OATH:
When used, the Blood Oath increases your Stamina and Magicka by 250 points, increases the speed of your movement and swing speed and doubles the power of your attacks. It also surrounds you in a Shield that blocks all incoming damage. The effect lasts for 12 seconds.

To use the Blood Oath you must have over half of your Base Health, meaning it’s not something you can use when severally injured. Furthermore, when the effect is over your health is reduced to 1.

HOW TO OBTAIN:
The Blooded War-Helm is located in a cave named Orotheim. This is located in Western Whiterun. There is a small room in the cave in which can be found the boss chest; there is a table in this room on which you will find the Helm.

THE DRAGONGUARD MANTLE
STATS:
Heavy Armor: 18 (equivalent to a Dwarven Helmet)
Enchantment: Incoming attacks restore a small amount of either your Magicka or Stamina, depending on which is most depleted.

HOW TO OBTAIN:
The Dragonguard’s Mantle is a relic of the Ancient Akaviri Dragonguard. The Mantle is in the possession of a Forsworn Briarheart who can be found in Karthspire. Karthspire is located in the Reach, and it acts as the pathway by which you first find Sky Haven Temple.

There are no known bugs associated with this mod.

The Jagged Crown doesn’t seem to be enchanted…why not?
The Jagged Crown you obtain during the Civil War quest line will not have the enchantment. The enchantment only comes into effect after the Civil War quest line, and it must be retrieved from Thangel Drun.

Where can I find the Jagged Crown?
The Crown can be found in Thangel Drun at the end of the Civil War quest line. See the last image in the pictures section above for details.

XD I know I like this list of mods, but the argonian wearing the Helm of the Unburned looks so funny.

if only there is a "decent" High King of Skyrim mod available. For whichever faction one fights for, you are allowed to become Jarl of Helgen. Then challenge or be challenged to become High King with a "Moot" council ordeal.

No problem :) I'm working on learning how to make a clean edit for personal use for this and another mod that applies fortify shouts flagged as restoration too. Thanks for the reply!

Poobah...I'll try to find the time, but don't hold your breath...still checking steam to answer questions, but not really modding right now, just no time

Zim I don't know if you're active and my apologies for bothering you if you aren't, but would you mind setting the "school" of the Magic Effect for the fortify shouts part of the enchantment of the crown to none rather than restoration? It being restoration is making it's magnitude get boosted by an effect from another mod I have which boosts the magnitude of my restoration spells, and I assume this isn't the only mod to have such an effect so it's probably causing unintentional conflicts elsewhere.

Thanks so much :) Love all your improved artifacts mods!

I really like all of your mods, but I just wish there was a version that was just all of them in one. I want to use all of them, but I already have 70-80 mods installed. The file size for the skyrim workshop has recently increased, so I amsure it is possible.
