Demetrios Poliorketes (Campaign Pack)

Description
Discord Server [discord.gg]

3rd Century BC. Alexander's Empire is still heavily contested between the Diadochoi, all claiming the empire for themselves. A new contender however, has risen. Demetrios, son of Antigonos, known as the "Besieger" has joined the fight for Alexander's legacy. Will he succeed? Only time will tell...
Welcome to the Demetrios Poliorketes Campaign! We start at 294 BC, when Demetrios ascended to the throne of Macedon. There are 10 playable factions, Banditry & Plagues from Empire Divided, Government Actions similar to Rise of the Republic, new and expanded building chains, a reworked recruitment system, new units (especially on the mercenary side) and more, bringing the Successor Conflicts into Wrath of Sparta!

THE FACTIONS
Demetrios Poliorketes
Lysimachos
Epeiros (Pyrrhos)
Ptolemaios
Athens
Sparta
Aitolian League
Bithynia
Pergamon (Philetairos)
Rhodos

CAMPAIGN MECHANICS
As mentioned above, the campaign features aspects from Empire Divided and Rise of the Republic, namely Banditry&Plagues and Government Actions. All 10 playable factions have their own, unique Government Action which was created with the faction itself and/or the Leader in mind to be historically authentic.
Additionally, the Gallic Invasion of Greece is also included, however since the campaign is 12TPY, it will not occur in 279BC but earlier.
Provinces that border the edges of the map will be subject to foreign cultural influences (like Epeiros to Illyrian, Makedon to Paionian etc). Because of that culture will not be completely redundant despite the map being mostly occupied by factions that follow Hellenic Paganism.
Unique Events are aplenty in this mod. Aitolian Assemblies, Athenian Elections, The Treasury of Pergamon, Religious Festivals and more!

THE NEW RECRUITMENT SYSTEM
The recruitment system has been reworked, now there is a new "stables" chain for all factions (bar Sparta, they are unique to that), from which the cavalry units are unlocked. Sparta and the Ptolemies stand out a bit further, the Spartans do not adhere to the "stable rule" (because of historical flavour), they instead have two different chains for the Homoioi and one for the Perioikoi. The Ptolemies fall under the "stable rule", they however have a "native chain" (mostly unlocks Egyptian and other non Greek units) and a "Klerouchia Chain", which unlocks the "Greek Units", additionally provides food but costs gold to maintain. These changes have been introduced to give the campaign a deeper experience than vanilla and allow some factions to stand out a bit more.

There are still aspects of the campaign that I did not touch on, the best way to get to know what this mod has to offer is to jump right into a campaign and experience them yourself! ;)

COMPATIBILITY

Generally, mods that do not mess with Wrath of Sparta startpos should work with this mod. Avoid big overhauls like Radious or DEI. Before reporting an issue, make sure that you have all other mods disabled in order to be sure that the issue comes from this mod.
This mod does not work well with Multiplayer because the Gallic Invasion script has some randomness to it, so avoid MP, since you can easily have different values generated on both sides which could cause problems to your game. You need this patch to play Demetrios Poliorketes with a friend.

Enjoy the mod, make sure to rate and leave feedback/suggestions in the comments down below!

@Tun4Flake5 no idea, I never tried battle mods since I found the vanilla pace decent for my liking. Just try them out, look for ratings/reviews in the comments etc

@porphyrienne, you can wait for war declarations, or if you happen to find yourself capturing Lysimacheia (after it was captured by someone else), you will have a dilemma with the option to break away.

So I see that Philataerus can't break away from Lysimachus on his own. How would I go about doing so while burdened by an extremely positive relationship with Lysimachus?

@garlockpdx go to users > your username > app data > roaming > Creative Assembly > Rome II and delete the contents there (back up save files before doing so)

As of now I cannot recommend this mod for any new subscribers, as the mod completely destroys your ability to use custom battles without the mod being enabled. My game keeps crashing when I attempt to use custom battle without this mod.
