VFTS 352 Contact Binary System

Description
VFTS 352 Contact Binary System, comprised of VFTS 352 1, a type O, Blue Giant, Main Sequence Star, and VFTS 352 2, a type O, Blue Giant, Main Sequence Star, located at a distance of 164000 Light ears from the Solar system in the Tarantula Nebula, which is part of the Large Magellanic Cloud. The stars are so close that their atmospheres overlap. Extreme stars like the two components of VFTS 352 are thought to be the main producers of elements such as oxygen.
