There are many improvements that could be made, such as adding stabilization fins or lowering the propeller deeper into the water, but in its default state it goes a decent speed in calm oceans. Propeller tends to escape the water in stormy weather and there is nothing preventing the boat from doing backflips over rough waves. You may wish to throttle down to 80% or lower when going over rough waves.

There is no automatic transmission, and there are a minimal amount of microcontrollers. Expand and improve the existing ones or plug in your own.
