BetterSurges

Description
Better surges Word doc

Mod ID # 2240323816

This mod makes a few improvements and corrects some mistakes in Data Tables for surges.
Adjusted the amount of Swirling Chaos that the various ???? yield to make summoning a surge less of a grind. They will now give:
  • Lesser ???? - 5 Swirling Chaos
  • Unstable ???? - 10 Swirling Chaos
  • Greater ???? ? left at base game value
Adds the following Thralls from Funcom's spawn tables to the Surges that were missing them. (Most of the T4 Surges didn't have the proper rows to allow them to spawn their T4 thralls.)
  • Relic Hunters Treasure Seekers: Alchemist Thungra, Alchemist Auru, Ambros Helmet-maker, Proth the Armorer, Blacksmith Enthra, Nut'Makra Blackened-Fingers, Ka'put the Blacksmith, Lot'Kanut the Sous Chef, Royal Chef Arna, Master Smelter Jius, Hap'Zebat of the Furnace, Kamut the Tanner, Tanner Thamid
  • Yoggites: Armorer Imth, Skinweaver Grath, Carpenter Kira, Pormis Wooden-teeth, Smelter Yrkonn, Loich Molten-Hand, Eina Furlicker, Burnt-Nose, Taskmaster Morra, Whipper Gor'h
  • Army of Aquilonia: Heria of Tarantia, Astarus the Smith, Emorio the Smith, Melandra the Cook, Ciria the Cook, Tanner Amara, Arthis Stretching-Hide, Aster, Master Taskmaster, Miia the Enslaver
  • Aesir: Harald the White, Hragn Mad-With-Fumes, Morena, Master Armorer, Pitre, Master Armorer, Gunnar the Smith, Ulva of the North, Hamar the Carpenter, Askra the Woodworker, Kavara of the Hides, Lodrik the Tanner, Doria the Whipper, Karl Smallwood the Taskmaster
  • Cultist of Dagon: Iza Tinderfinger, Bandra, Galodona the Seamstress, Epis the Armorer, Ontra the Blacksmith, Gars the Smith, P'res Aniki, Master Carpenter, Ura Flotsam-collector, Tha'Shem Fingerlicker, Sous Chef Chursh, Abras the Smelter, Hor'Tapesh the Smelter
  • Children of Jhebbal Sag: Vonn of the Wild Hide, Gonn of the Wild Hide, Kopris the Hide-Stretcher, Antu the Blacksmith, Trank the Metalwright, Peshra the Wood-rubber, Lierik the Hatchet, Teeth-that-eats-you, Barna the Gullet, Gerin the Smelter, Bak'T the Smelter, Dreev Manhunter, Strang of the Whip

Added chance for Godbreaker and Asura's armor to drop from T4 surges (for use in the delving bench)

Pantherr, i was able to check into this tonight. i can not duplicate your issue. i tried both with my current DB and with a fresh DB, Better Surges was the only mod loaded with the Exiled Lands map, the NPC's you listed as missing were all present for me.

Not that I am aware of, and like I said it ONLY happens if I am in The Exiled Lands with this mod installed. As soon as I remove it and get back ingame everything is back to normal.

I was just letting you know out of courtesy but clearly you do not believe me, or have tried it yourself, so there is nothing more I can say...

Pantherr, someone pointed out to me that you might be dealing with the 0,0,0 bug... do your missing NPC's end up in the center of the map? If so here is a link to the forum discussion on the bug

Well I know nothing at all about modding, but I do know how to check which mod is causing problems as I use a lot of them. Also it doesn't need to be a fresh save.

Before I removed the mod I copied in my original save to test that too and same result many people / bosses missing. After removing the mod they all reappeared.

It's not a huge deal, but I thought it was simple courtesy to let you know..

I am not doubting you had something strange happen with your game. What you are describing doesn't sound like a bug from this mod. Better surges works by adding new lines to the weighted spawn table DT they point to entries Funcom already has on the spawn table DT. As far as I can tell the weighted spawn table entries are only used when surges happen and they do not overwrite any exsisting lines.

With that said I will add this to my to do list. It should be easy enough to verify or disprove I only need this mod and fresh save. For now though definitely do not use the Siptah mod in The Exiled lands.

Well it did... I take it out and people/creature bosses return, I put it back in and they disappear again. What conclusion would you make..?

this mod only contains data tables. there is no way for it to remove anything.
Pantherr Feb 6 @ 8:27pm
Just FYI, in your mod description you may want to add a note to be sure to remove this mod while playing in The Exiled Lands, it does strange things...

I started a fresh game and still had this installed and was wondering why people, things, were missing. No green dragon, no Conan, no Archivist etc etc. I don't know the full extent but this mod was the cause...

Glad to hear you got it sorted out. :steamhappy:

Apparently the surge cost setting slider is weird and so instead of increasing the cost to compensate for increased values I decreased it. It all works as it should now. Thanks!
