Voluntary Abdication

Description
Adds a Decision to let your King step aside, yielding the throne to your Heir. This improves the Heir's claim strength, avoids stability loss and, probably the most important for most players, lets you get rid of a weak King ahead of schedule.

Due to other kings finding your abdication foolish and traditionalists believing you should rule until death, abdicating causes a loss of Prestige depending on the old King's age:
- 60 and older: lose 20 Prestige
- 50-59: lose 30 Prestige
- 40-49: lose 40 Prestige
- less than 40: lose 50 Prestige

If you do this as Holy Roman Emperor and get reelected, the Electors get annoyed (-25 relation) and you get 5 less Imperial Authority out of the reelection. (If you don't get reelected you've been punished enough.)

(The game still says the King dies, because I'm not that good a modder and because changing that would reduce compatibility with other mods. Also, the stability hit still happens, but is compensated for immediately. This works even when you start with 3 stability.)

If I'm right... All this mod truly does is add a decision that has the effect of typing 'kill' in the console. As well as cause you lose from 20 to up to 50 prestige. Depending on how old your leader was. And if the first paragraph is right; it probaly activates an event to give you stability in order to counteract your king abdicating. Which the game counts as if your king just died.

Note to all those that want the mod updated. It's really simple to do.
1. open the .mod file of the mod in notepad.
2. look for "supported_version="
3. change the version code in quotation marks to the version of the game you're running.
4. The mod should run on your version of EU IV.

@MadMax False. There are many example of leaders that step down from the throne after a long reign. Examples include important historical figures. Charles V for example, gave up his throne after he became exahusted with ruling during a time of great religious turmoil in the Holy Roman Empire.
The following is a list of rulers who abdicated their thrones for one reason or another: thÆthelred of Mercia
Agustín de Iturbide
Albert II of Belgium
Alexander of Battenberg
Alfonso XIII of Spain
Alfonso III d'Este, Duke of Modena
Amadeo I of Spain
Andronikos II Palaiologos
Artgal mac Cathail
