Miniature Planets

Really, really small planets. That's it.

Right now only with earth and moon. Spawn them in at 19km and they will be around 400m (moon) and 800m (earth) in diameter.

The vanilla slider for spawning in planets in Space Engineers is sadly limited to just 19-120km, but with a bit of trickery you can get around it. SE toolbox can make planets larger or smaller, but if you're too lazy for that, these planets spawn in at a really small size right away. They are quite buggy though and I had to remove the atmosphere, so no atmo thrusters sadly.

-Subscribe on this page
-During loading/ creating a new world, go to options->mods
-Add this mod to the list of active mods
-Ingame: shift+f10, select planets, select MiniEarth or MiniMoon and spawn in
-If shift+f10 doesn't work, alt+f10->tick creative tools
-Tip: do it with spectator cam and far away from your character


As I said these planets are kinda buggy and I had to remove a couple of things like the entire atmosphere, clouds, trees and surface ore rocks. The bushes are kinda weird and appear and disappear out of nowhere. If you set tree draw distance to the max it's a little better. If you're very far away from these planets they will suddenly turn very large which is also kinda weird. Spawning them in at more than 19km only seems to make things worse. While all the ores are still there, the quantities are obviously tiny.

For the modders:
The trick to get this to work is pretty simple:
Hillparams min and max define the lowest and highest point relative to general radius.
You can set them to negative values, meaning terrain is lower than radius.
For these I set min to around -0.096 and max to -0.0955
You can also use this to archieve crazy differences in height like a canyon going to the planets core etc. Don't set it to larger than 1 though, it bugs out ingame.
