Ban Tiles (UI mod)

Opis
In Vanilla, banning Citizens from working a tile creates an Unemployed Citizen, even when better options are available. This mod allows the user to ban Citizens from working chosen tiles without needlessly creating Unemployed Citizens.

Citizens often work tiles (e.g. Coast/Ocean) that yield nothing but the 2 Food they consume, inefficiently converting one Happiness into, at best, a little Science. This mod lets you tell your cities not to work these tiles – or any others you dislike – without the need to micro-manage.

Controls
  • Right click to ban a tile. Right click with <Shift> or <Ctrl> to ban all tiles with equal or Pareto-worse yield.
  • Left click to unban a tile. Left click with <Shift> or <Ctrl> to unban all tiles with equal or Pareto-better yield.

A conflict is very likely, unfortunately. Since the logic for placing Citizens is written in C++, this mod includes altered DLLs, which makes it incompatible with other mods which alter the C++/DLLs.

The only way to make two (or more) DLL mods compatible would be for someone to publish a new mod which includes both/all changes. This would require one team to have access to the C++ changes for both/all mods.

This mod somehow conflicts with EUI or global relations? I'm using no other serious mods, but when I activate this one both it and global relations stop working.

Extremely Underrated!

Personally, I mostly use it for Coast/Ocean, which with BNW only produces enough Food to sustain the Citizen working the tile. This is fine if you have plenty of Happiness and want a large Population in order to produce more Science, but is otherwise usually a waste of scarce Happiness. (Without BNW, Coast/Ocean tiles also produce one Gold, making them more worthwhile.)

For tiles like Desert and (perhaps) Tundra, I find the city-management AI usually does a good enough job of avoiding those tiles even without this mod.
