Many thanks to those who have given a positive rating!

This mod is part of the Improved Artifacts Collection, which can be found at this link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=204157051

Adds 9 new weapons, each with a unique texture and enchantment. These artifacts act as rewards for becoming Thane of a Hold, with each Hold being represented by one of the 9 new weapons.

Adds the Thane Trade system, which allows you to replace any Thane weapons you may already have with their new replacements.

EASTMARCH: THE FURIOUS ICEFIST
Base Weapon: Stalhrim Warhammer (2H)
Enchantment: When you strike a Mer opponent (i.e. a High Elf, Dark Elf, Wood Elf, Orc or Falmer), the speed of the warhammer’s swing dramatically increases, allowing you to attack these opponents in a frenzied state.

FALKREATH: SHADOWBITE
Base Weapon: Nordic Sword (1H)
Enchantment: 50% more damage against Abominations, and absorbs 25 points of health and stamina from them. Abominations are those creatures whose presence in Nirn is the result of magic use as opposed to the natural order, and they include following creatures: the Undead (including vampires), Daedra, Werewolves, Werebears and Hagravens.

HAAFINGAR: THE SPEAR OF MIGHT
Base Weapon: Nordic Short Spear (1H)
Enchantment: When power attacking, you inflict fear on up to one humanoid target at a time for 8 seconds, provided the target is of a lower level than you. Should you power attack a new opponent whilst another already has the fear effect, then the old one will be cured of fear and the new target will receive the fear effect.

HJAALMARCH: THE MARSHBORN BLIGHT
Base Weapon: Nordic Mace (1H)
Enchantment: 8 points of poison damage for 4 seconds. Does double damage to Arthropods (these include frostbite spiders, ash hoppers, mudcrabs, chaurus and chaurus hunters)

THE REACH: DEEP-ROUT
Base Weapon: Silver Greatsword (2H)
Enchantment: 5 points of bleeding damage for 5 seconds on targets with warm blood (these include all animals, creatures and NPCs that are not: undead, daedra, arthropods, wisps, spriggans, ice wraiths, e.t.c.). 50% more damage to the undead.

THE RIFT: BLACK WHISPER
Base Weapon: Ebony War Axe (1H)
Enchantment: Silences the target for 8 seconds. Players of previous Elder Scrolls games will recognize Silence as the inability to cast spells.

THE PALE: ICEBREAKER
Base Weapon: Stalhrim Hammer (1H)
Enchantment: 35% extra damage to Cold targets (these include ice wraiths and ice atronachs, as well as the undead, arthropods, and anything taking frost damage).

WHITERUN: DOVAHDAAN
Base Weapon: Nord Hero Greatsword (with a slight damage boost, 2H)
Enchantment: 50% more damage to dragons, ignores 50% of armor.

WINTERHOLD: ARCANFOE
Enchantment: Absorbs 25 points of magicka from magical creatures, and inflicts 25% more damage against magical creatures (these include spriggans, wisps, daedra, ice wraiths, the undead, hagravens, werewolves and werebears).

If you already have some Thane weapons or have begun one of the Thane quests, then you’ll notice on loading this mod that these weapons are not immediately replaced by the newly added weapons listed above. To replace the original Thane weapons with their new counterparts, you must use the Thane Trade system.

To use the Thane Trade system, type in the console command: “Set ThaneTrade to 1”. This will make a Lesser Power called “Thane Trade” appear in your inventory. Use this Lesser Power, and you will receive step-by-step instructions on how to obtain the new weapons.

Prior to the most recent update, the Thane Trade system was not properly added. This bug has been fixed, and the Thane Trade system should now be properly added.

Some users with Hearthfire may experience a bug in which they do not receive a Houscarl when becoming the Thane of Falkreath. The cause of this bug is unknown.

I’ve installed the mod, but my Thane weapons are unchanged…why?
From a modder’s perspective, the vanilla Thane weapons are difficult to modify. It can be done, but the process would likely be fairly buggy and broken for many, and so I’ve chosen not to go down that road. Instead, I’ve added a system called Thane Trade, which allows you to trade the old weapons for the new manually in-game. For details on how to do this, see the Thane Trade section above.

I’ve already sold all my Thane weapons…how can I get the weapons shown here?
The Thane Trade system (see above) is meant to allow you to swap normal Thane weapons for the newly added Thane weapons. However, it can just as easily be used to swap any other weapon for a new Thane weapon. The system is easy to use and straightforward.

I've been going through the holds to get these, and I got the vanilla weapon from Riften instead of Black Whisper.

And now I think the Reach hold weapon should've been called "Blood and Silver". For its popular saying that blood and silver flows through Markarth.

This is perfect, most hold weapons players get is so poop, they just sell it immediantly or give it to their housecarl/companion. Thx!

If you don't get a thane weapon use console command help and the name of the weapon.

I didn't get the ebony war axe when I became thane of Riften. What should I put in the console to spawn a new one?

Can you please make this mod for the base game? I don't have any of the dlcs and this mod would be awesome to have.

This is one of my favourite mods, it actually convinced me to go and complete the different holds' quests. My personal favourite weapon is Shadow Bite, however I noticed a discrepancy in the weapons menu - that I have only noticed after my character became a Vampire. The sword's damage value increases when equipped and returns to base when unequipped, the higher value making it my best weapon. I assume this is due to the enchantment dealing increased damage to undead and Vampirism classing my character as undead. I'd just like to know if this is intentional and whether the increased damage value is actually true. Many thanks.

Hey, love all your mod, is there any chance you will make copies of your work available for XB1 in the special edition?
Aleph Sharp Nov 26, 2016 @ 11:03pm
could you mod this for skyrim special edition and post it on the nexus?
