Italian Hoplites V2.0

Description
Hello folks, SuperDJBling here with a brand new unit for the Roman faction. Now, chances are you've seen this unit before which has since been hidden due to issues I've had with it. Unfortunately it didn't appear in campaign, so I've had to rebuild this unit, as well as some other little things causing headaches. Now, I've ensured it works in campaign and I've locked it to the typical Italian auxiliary recruiting areas. If anyone finds that they can be recuited elsewhere, leave a comment and I'll look into it as soon as I can. The biggest difference in terms of appearence from this and the old one is the addition of Italian armour, which makes more sense for Italian Hoplites compared to the previous Linothorax.

Anyway, Italian Hoplites were a 'real' type of soldier that was used through Italy as a result of Greek influence. Although the Romans would eventually abandon it and start to adopt a system which would eventual lead to the dominant Legionaire, it seems very likely that Hoplites continued to survive amongst the various other Italian states, although they would become increaseingly rare as time passed.

In regards to stats, Italian Hoplites are roughly similar, but overall worse, than standard Hoplites. This was solely for balance purposes, since this unit does give Rome access to a not entirely terrible phalanx and considering the rest of the Roman advantages, it seemed a fair trade off. Italian Hoplites also can only be recuited from an auxiliary barracks (although I've yet to 'region lock' it to Italia and Magna Graceia, since I have yet to learn how).

As a result of this, Italian Hoplites are what I call a 'flavour' unit, one you throw in not nessecarily for how good it is, but to see if it opens up any other options, or just to add variety to your army.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you read it all :P. I hope you enjoy!

Great Idea. I want to use a phalanx as the backbone of my roman army, So if i might make a
request, dont restrict them to italy and make them as good as other phalanx. and ofcourse
please keep updated. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, nameless, if you read the description for the Italian hoplites it does say

"Enslaved Jews from the country of Israel, that of course never existed, pressed into service by Meglomaniac Nazi Romans, they are meat shields for the entirety of the Roman empire."

PART 2 - This mod is racist and fascist. In the context of the game there would not have been an Israel since 780BC (or 720BC if you count living in tents near city walls), you might as well have made an Atlantis mod. You have every right to make your mod, but people who enjoy historical facts should know that this entire mod is fantasy and likely driven by Zionist supremacst ideas. This is a very hateful ideology that is well known for rewriting history to create false precedents and justifications for hateful beliefs. So installing this mod is akin to making a Nazi mod for the Suebians and pretending that it was real.
