Quick Turns

Opis
Intelligently toggles Quick Movement/Combat during AI turns, which results in significantly reduced time you will spend waiting and watching what the AI does instead of actually playing, especially in the late game. Only important AI unit actions, relevant to the player are shown. Replacement for playing with permanently enabled Quick Movement/Combat or in the Strategic 2D view when turn times slow down to a crawl. You can now enjoy the cool nuclear explosions and most* unit animations without major compromises!

*Some animations like air rebasing had to be disabled because they were a big reason why turns in late game were taking so long (they kept playing in the fog of war, for each unit one by one). The wasted time was just too big to justify showing the player moved air units, so I removed them.

Based on jcraft's original Quick Movement mod (QMMOD).

-- Features

Term "AI" includes other civilizations, city states and barbarians unless stated otherwise.

- In-game interface for mod's customization.
- Toggle animations for barbarians.
- Toggle animations for city states you are at peace with.
- Toggle animations for city states you are allied with.
- Toggle animations for AI you are at peace with.
- Toggle animations for AI you are at war with.
- Toggle animations for AI you share enemies with.
- Toggle animations for AI at war with your allied city states.
- Speed up aircraft attack animations.
- Disable aircraft rebase animations.

Planned:
- Toggle animation settings for individual AIs (points of interest).

-- Compatibility

Single player only. Doesn't affect saves.
Works with Vanilla, Gods & Kings and Brave New World.
The mod doesn't overwrite or modify any existing game files.
This means it should work with all other mods that don't share the same functionality.

-- Troubleshooting

The mod doesn't appear in the mods menu.
- Try unsubscribing and subscribing again (don't forget to restart the game).
- Try Google. It's a common problem not isolated to this mod.

The game crashes.
- Try deleting a database file with "QuickTurns" name in the "Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\ModUserData" folder.

-- Known Bugs

- Enabling quick movement for the barbarians will disable animations of your trading routes.
- Disabling quick movement for the player will enable trading route animations for the next computer turn.

Not sure if those two above bugs can be fixed at all due to how the game's engine works. If this bothers you, uncheck all Quick Movement settings.

-- Optional

Converting mods to DLC (enables achievements):
Check this[forums.civfanatics.com] thread for more information.

Custom Lua engine:
To further decrease turn times follow instructions posted here[forums.civfanatics.com].
Warning: This may be incompatible with some other mods and will cause issues with multiplayer.

Will this mod make the game run faster than if I have quick combat and movement always enabled?

Its stupid how the game doesnt offer quick movements for player and ai seperately. civ 3 offers this. thanks!

One turn was enough to make this my favorite mod, just realized how much time I wasted during these 400 hrs of my gameplay

Such a time saver, thanks!!

@Thomas: The feature of the mod is to have a selective quick combat/movement. E.g. I like to keep normal movement for my own units, but units of the other nations I don't care, so its quick movement.

Does this mod have any benefit if I already have quick combat/movement turned on or is it just for keeping animations while turning it off for the AI?
