Katorga-12 [OSBOLETE]

Beschreibung
The Katorga series were submarines produced by the SOMBRA Corporation. Only a handful survived the depths of Europa, and rumors says the 12 might even be the last one.

Basic features

  • Nuclear Engine, Ballasts Pumps : Vanilla-ish
  • Batteries : More capacity per battery (just to have less batteries), same recharge speed than vanilla
  • Engine : less powerful than vanilla
  • Ballasts optimised for survivability, not speed (0.5 neutral level)
  • Good weapon coverage on top and bottom right, not so much on front and bottom left
  • A fabricator, a medical fabricator and two deconstructors with linked lockers
  • A secure medbay, cargobay and captain's cabin

Additional features

  • Custom automatic doors (don't close except when they see water, fire, aliens, or if the LOCKDOWN command from the captain's cabin is activated, and they ignore water if PURGE is activated)
  • Remote-controlled drone with external storage, lights and cameras, slaved when docked
  • Camera monitoring systems (thanks Captain Eric !) : one for monitoring the inside, and one for the drone. Click on periscope to switch cams. (Don't click too fast or you'll break it ! )
  • Automatic Battery Take-over if reactor is down and ship isn't docked (with a light that goes from red to green depending on the battery charge, thanks Blop !). Automatically turn down when Reactor reaches 1500 kwh.
  • Lot of room for loot, and some more
  • Pretty colored crates
  • Ingame medical tutorial (in french only)

Additional notes

Everything is locked from unwiring / wiring. A thousand times tested (still not enough), a hundred times nerfed. Compatible with campaigns, as the most part of the sub components parameters are vanilla, or vanilla-ish. Not underpowered, but clearly not overpowered. In my opinion, goes from 3 players = very hard to 9 players = very easy. Just don't be claustrophobic, and crouch in the drone.

Will maybe make a standard version soon. (less yellow mainly, and english tutorials)

Tutorial

  • The DOCKS LOCK button in the drone control room is to force close the rear and low docking hatches. Keep them locked before undocking to prevent minor flooding.
  • Both the periscopes in the drone control room and in the security room are for remote cameras (click to switch cameras when using the periscope)
  • The button with a OPEN ALL label in the security room is to open all the non-secured doors, to see better with the cameras
  • The blue light on the drone nav terminal is to indicate if drone lights are on. Activate them from the drone nav terminal.
  • There is a hidden secure locker in the drone control room. Inside are badges that gives access to some parts of the ship (Blue for Assistant, Red for Medic, Black for Security, and Yellow for all-access). Basic Medic and Security players wont have access to everything in the medbay or security room if you don't give them this badges). Useful for public campaigns.

    Captain's cabin :

  • You can use Discharge Coil, launch Depth Charges and open the Airlock from the nav terminal
  • The BATTERIES button is for activating the Auto-Batteries system. You can see if it's activated on the terminal. If the light left of REACTOR SHUTDOWN lit, that means batteries are being used. The color of this label depends on the battery remaining charge.
  • The SELFLOCK lever is for securing the Captain's cabin.
  • The LOCKDOWN lever close all of the sub doors after 3 sec (4 sec for hatches). If it's not activated, they will stay open unless flooding (tested), fire (tested), alien (not tested haha), in which case they close after 1 sec. If re-open under those situations, they will close again after 3s. Having LOCKDOWN enabled and having the entire sub flooded give the same effect.
  • The PURGE lever make doors ignore water (they will stay open)
  • The drone slaving is activable / deactivable from the buttons just next to DRONE. A slaved drone can't undock, and let the main sub use its reactor and ballast.
  • The Ballast command in the nav terminal is to open the airlock to sink faster.
  • The emergency reactor shutdown is a small button just next the REACTOR SHUTDOWN label (which is only lit in case of Meltdown).

I liked your boat very much - simple and tasteful!

A deconstructor of dangerous artifacts in the lower airlock would not be superfluous. It would also be convenient to install an oxygen station next to the lower airlock (you can make a more compact weapon room)
