I've set weight of attached trailers to zero and addet it to head of unit, so it would be taken in price calculation, making longer sets a bit more costly, but they can take more materials.
On the right changed stats. On the bottom price comparation.

Adding costs from files:
EDK300: 8900+2200+2200+2200=15500
EDK80: 4300+0+450+450+1100+4300=10600
PNI set: 4300+2500+2500+2500+2500+450+450=15200
So that should be balanced with my new stats and make sense by their composition, but somehow in game those modded sets are more that twice expensive as EDK300. How it works?

Amount of material they take is equal to their level and has nothing to do with values of cargo they can take as freight train. It's hard to measure their working speed, but I guess it's number of workers.
Taking this into account, all those are useless compared to vanilla, especialy taking their price. Maybe increase they lvl to about 35 per freight car while retaining lower workers numbers. So they would lay slower but for much longer on one run.
