Description
Updated To Fast Friends Update 509629 (02.06.2022)

Supported game version : Vanilla + Space Out.

MOD VERSION : 1.0.0.394 Vanilla, 1.0.0.14 Space Out<= Very important number.


Make sure that you use newest mod version. If you still see mod out of date in mod menu, you are using OLD version. Use this Peter Han Handy mod updater to get newest mod version : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2018291283
Sometime if this mod mod updater provide old mod version, then try force update!

If you have some crash with this mod I need Player.log.Which is located %appdata%\..\locallow\klei\Oxygen Not Included
Location is valid only for windows. Without Player log I will probably ignore any bug report.

Space out Notice:
Space out use Geyser which try to fool you that they are Generic Geyser, There are not. There are actually no Generic geyser here at all.

With Plib Library we have nice Mod option screen (picture 7), which is nice, Unfortunately mod config must be in some JavaScript format. So if you like cold beauty of XML you are out of luck.

GeologyLite is usully located :
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\Steam\2184126787

I strongly advice save yours precious config in some safe place, or it will be delete when steam update this mod.

if you have problem with this mods, first thing you must do is checking if mod is up to date. Simply check if version number in output_lot.txt is equal (or bigger, if I forgot to update mod description) then version number on this page.

Also Note this Mod change Map generation. So If you want contribute to Cairath : https://toolsnotincluded.net/map-tools/map-browser . DISABLE THIS MOD!!!!

What Geology Lite can do :

This mod do same magic with generic geysers. If you do not know what generic geysers mean look at second picture.

Mod can :

1) Change number of generic geysers. This can be done ONLY when you generating new map. Also note that world generator can squeeze only 130 - 150 on regular size map. (Maybe little more if you have frozen core trait).

2) Change Geyser type spawn chance. In vanilla game, each Geyser have same chance to be spawned. But some geysers are really useless (Co2, Po2) and some are too powerfull (every polluted water geyser and slush geyser specially) . Now you can change this. You can disable/enable geyser type or you can set % Geyser spawn chance.
Picture 8 show Geyser spawn chance screen. You can also set minimum and maximum number for each geyser type. But Remembeer this works ONLY for Generic geysers!

How % chance for each geysers are calculated:

SumWeight = Sum of each enabled geyser.
Geyser % chance = Geyser Weight / SumWeight

Also some advice : You can create Geyser spawn list which return no Geyser at all. (for example you disable all geysers). DONT DO THIS! :) (Or all your new geysers will be cool steam geyser)

Some advice 2: When you load game in left top corner there should be some notification (Geyologylite). Always click on this notification and check if you use your desired Geyser preset and check here if everything is ok.

3) Studyed geyser have output automation port (4bit), so you can check geyser state.
bits mean :
0 green Geyser is Not dormant / Red geyser is dormant.
1 green Geyser erupting / Red not erupting
2 green Geyser is in Pre erupt state / red Geyser is not in Pre erupt state
3 has multi function:
if bite 1 is green (Geyser erupting) then this bit mean: Green Overpresure/ Red Not overpresure
if bite 1 is red then : Green Post erupt state / Red not post erupt state

4) Geysers can be destroyed
5) New detailed geyser info

All of this can be enabled/disabled in Mods/GeologyLite/Options (Mod must be enabled to have a options button)
Also you can change Geyser spawn chance in Options/Geyser Setup (you can do this in Game main manu or map menu.

Well this mod have really lot of functionality, but it is so intuitive that I dont need write any other description.

as of the buff & shine patch, this mod crashes the game on loading (as in loading the game, not loading a save)

Geysers or vents to powerful? If you think so don't use them. You are not forced to use them. You want it hard don't use what you think makes it to easy if you get a geyser or vent you think ruins your play through.

I do that if I think they are a waste. I had a map with 2 cool stream vent. 2 salt geysers. 3 water geysers. A few worthless chorine vents and a co2 one. Zero natural gas or anything for power. But with all the water I made 3 bottomless Rodriguez's in space to make almost unlimited hydrogen for power. It worked out in the long run. I caped most of the geysers and vents I didn't need is short.

Don't use what you don't need or you think is to easy.
