Scalable Init Support

Description
This mod-loader enables a limitless amount of init-based VScript mods to be active at the same time, keeping the necessary code all in one centralized location for easy maintenance. All that is required is for relevant VScript addons to align with this mod's expected file structure.

Occasionally certain mods may conflict with Scalable Init Support. To troubleshoot an addon conflict, simply ensure that this mod is the most-recently enabled addon (such as by disabling and re-enabling Scalable Init Support in-game), and start a new addon-enabled game. Please report any bugs or mod conflicts either here or on GitHub (linked below).

This mod's code is available free & open source via a GNU GPL-3.0 License on GitHub[github.com].

Developers, please read the README.md in this addon's files for the necessary information to integrate its functionality into your own mod, and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have both here and on GitHub.

If it doesn't happen all the time, that leads me to suspect it's likely an issue with other mods you are using. One other thing you can try is before starting your game, go into your addons list and turn off & then turn on again Scalable Init Support (so that it is the most recently enabled addon). If that doesn't change anything, then I'd suggest narrowing down which other mods cause the issue by toggling them on & off together one by one until you are able to consistently repeat the issue. If there's still no clear cause after that, feel free to add me on Steam so I can try to reproduce your issue and we can troubleshoot one-on-one.

hello, no the saves mods are not changed. this might be an issue with another mod itself, however upon loading a previously made save with the same mods enabled, the mod will first not function properly (in this case: the Desert Eagle Addon will not scale mag and/or damage properly). the second time one attempts to load a save, the aforementioned behaviour occurs.

loading saves without scalable init will work flawlessly, loading saves with scalable init support will usually work, however, i have experienced this issue before, once, without the Deagle addon, which i suspect to be part of the issue(?). it could also be a problem with my machine(?).

Hey M-Try - I haven't experienced that issue with my saves. Are you trying to load a save which had different mods enabled, or a save that was unmodded? To my knowledge, you cannot load unmodded saves with mods, or change the mods mid-save. If that doesn't resolve the problem, could you confirm the two following things:

1) That you are able to start a new game with addons where Scalable Init Support is disabled (such as by only enabling one addon map, with all other addons disabled), and confirm that you are able to load that save as expected?

2) That you are able to repeat the process above with the only difference being that Scalable Init Support is enabled this time when you start the new game with addons, and let me know if this produces the loading problem you're experiencing?

Hello, i dont know if this is the best place to put it but it seems like this addon breaks Loading save files. any playthroughs with this addon and other addons enabled seems to be impossible to load correctly, and will in fact revert back to a sort of "default save" equivalent to simply starting the game from the chapter one was in. this means you would have to play through the game in one go, or start over. is there any way to fix this?

Hi!
I have developed a new type of omnidirectional treadmill for VR. I'm very excited that the tracking is finally working and with our emulator, we can walk and run in basically every VR game.

The problem is just that the maximum in-game speed is slower than the maximum real-world speed. So in order to solve this problem, we want to build mods for the most popular games, to change the maximum in-game speed.
Please send me a message, If you are interested in developing a Half Life Alyx mod for this purpose.
You can find me on Discord under marvinfachtner or send a mail to marvin@xelerate-vr.com.

I found out why it wasn't working. I tested several options and found that together with the '' unpin ragdolls '' mod it just doesn't work. Thanks for the help, disabling the unpin ragdolls mod worked correctly, I left you a like! sorry for any trouble. If you can fix it to work with the '' unping ragdolls '' mod, it's very good! thanks

If you're unable to get this mod-loader working, make sure you start a "new game with addons" (the addon system does not let you load an old save), and have another mod enabled which depends on Scalable Init Support to confirm that it is working. I understand we speak different languages, but let me know if I can help you further and I'll do my best!
