SRTS Expanded: RotorCraft

Description
Quite archaic compared to modern shuttles, but they have their niche on backwater and industrial age planets. Being more efficient than equivalent shuttle engines, even if they are slower and do not work in space. Quite a few designs are remerging from simple transports, to gunships, to even massive cargo rotorcrafts that rival some settlements in storage capacity.

An Extension for SRTS Expanded mod. This extension adds in rotorcraft. Rotorcraft are none-space capable aerial vehicles that are slow but efficient. I am trying to keep this somewhat balanced to the original shuttles, with the rotorcraft being more advance shuttles for purely in world travel.

A lot of credit needs to go to the SRTS mod

I(shazbot) am the one who made the art assets used, as well as the coded these craft for the mod SRTS.

Latest Update

2.5D rendering: 1.8

The Thrasher has had it's icon updated. I am now using 3d rending to make the sprites isometic/2.5D. This will slowly be rolled out to other craft in preparation for the much bigger vehicles update.



1.8.1 The Dogfish has been updated.

1.8.2: The Cookiecutter, Requiem, and Nurse have been updated.

1.8.3: The Bull has been updated.

1.8.4: The Sandbar has been updated.

1.8.5: The Mako, Tiger, and Megamouth have been updated.

1.8.5.2: Made this page not look like it will give malware.

Why No Rotors?

I did not include the rotors in the sprite to this from becoming too cluttered, as well as the difficulties in doing a co-axil rotor sprite.

CE compatible?

This mod is as compatible as normal SRTS. I have no control over this

Important before posting

Make sure you have SRTS installed and added to your modlist before this mod, or else it won't work.

now that the vehicle framework is out, any chance of a port? would work rather well, some helicopter action might get me to reinstall sooner than i was planning.

For anyone who wants to use this with 1.4, you can edit the About.xml in the mod folder and replace both instances of smashphil.neceros.srtsexpanded to smashphil.srtsexpanded and in the supportedVersions tag either add or replace the contents with <li>1.4</li> .

For some reason RimPy will complain that it still needs the old dependency, but that can be ignored and from my (limited) experience it works just fine.
