I made the mod version of this patch after getting authorized by the original author. This mod implements the installation of dontstartveluajit on DS, DST and DST Server (Yes, you could also install patch files under the DST or the DSTServer through mod configuration page in DS). However, this mod can only be applied to Windows systems only.

NOTICE:

After Klei being purchased by Tencent Games, this project will NOT be maintained anymore due to conflict of company interest.

After Klei redistribute Don't Starve Together with 64 bit revision, this patch is NO LONGER APPLIABLE for DST-64 bit.

To apply this patch on Linux system, check out the GitHub link above, download the latest release, and follow the installation instructions.

Function introduction：
1.This MOD is to replace the builtin script engine with LuaJIT to accelerate you game! PLEASE BACKUP YOUR SAVES BEFORE APPLYING THIS PATCH.

Performance improvement is very obvious.

2.This mod implements the convenient installation of the dontstartveluajit patch.

You only need to turn on mod to complete the patch installation under the DS (the first time you install the patch, you need to restart the game to take effect). If you want to install patches under DST and DSTServers, you need to configure the mod setting interface: patch for DST- install; patch for DSTServer -install , as shown in the following figure.

3.The default mode and switching mode can be set through this mod.

NOTICE: LuaJIT has two modes, the jit mode and non-jit mode.
By default, the non-jit mode is enabled, but it is not always the best choice for your PC. Please try to switch between jit and non-jit mode after installation:

Change the current mode by pressing F11 (the default key can be changed). If it is DST or DSTServer, launch console and input jit.on () or jit.off () to turn JIT mode on or off. Select the one with higher FPS.

Common Problem：
1.Why did I fail to install the windows system in the DST or DST server?

Because you don't have online and stand-alone games installed in the same directory.
You just need to click the GitHub link at the beginning of this article to download the original patch, and then put the three files lua51.dll, lua51 under the win folder DS.dll , WINMM.DLL , copy to the bin folder of the installation directory of DST (or DSTServer).

You can also find the three files lua51.dll, lua51,WINMM.DLL in the bin folder of the DS installation directory after enabling this mod .Copy these three files to the bin folder of the installation directory of DST (or DST server)..

2.Does this patch support Linux?

Yes, but the installation method is different from that of windows. For detailed installation steps, please click the GitHub link I posted at the top, and then refer to the detailed installation instructions of the original author for installation.

3.How can I disable or uninstall this patch?

This mod provides the quick disable patch function. You only need to configure in the mod setting interface: patch for DS-disable, patch for DST-disable, patch for DSTServer-disable, and then restart the game. If you want to re enable the patch, configure the appropriate option to install it again.
If you want to uninstall the patch completely, you need to unsubscribe the mod, and then delete three files lua51.dll,lua51DS.dll,WINMM.DLL in the bin file in the installation directory.If the game has a large update, the game installed with this patch may fail to start. At that time, you need to manually delete these three files to uninstall this patch.
