CSS Virginia

Following my reconstruction of the USS Monitor, here is the competitor ship, the CSS Virginia. This is another ship in my Stormworks historical ships theme and this is of the other ironclad from the American Civil War. The CSS Virginia is the ironclad of the Confederate States of America (CSA) navy, built from a wrecked Union steam frigate. This was the ship which took part in the first ironclad vs ironclad battle against the Union counterpart, the USS Monitor. The battle ended in a draw with neither side sustaining any sort of damage and the battle is actually quite funny to read about! So, the CSS Virginia is a similarly slow draft ironclad from the Civil War but is a lot bigger than the Monitor. In this case, it's not as big, but it's a lot taller! The real ship had a variety of different sized cannons, but here they're all one size to save time. You get in up the top hatches and there's four cannons per broadside, two chase and two stern cannons. There's the helm in the front and a central smoke stack. The real ship also only went 6 knots so this is at a similar speed as well.

W/S to go forwards/reverse
A/D to turn.
