Zirax Fueldepot

a poi with one alternative entrace.
it has 1 fuel trader at the upper level near the entrance (his restock timer is 1 min) .

this was the armory as a base. i originally wanted to rework that (and do a,b,c,versions), but ended up doing something very different. but you can clearly see the layout at the main level.

spoiler rambling from the author:
this has a bunch of secrets and some shortcuts, which might make this maybe to easy and have to much loot. at least this is a bit of my fear. i died a bunch of times anyway, but i think others will do this easily. so you might want to spawn this with a bunch of support turrets around.

puzzle for the core room is not optinal, but should be easy.

the fuel basins have some custom lcd's with "zirax writing". these should look like our numbers. 1 basin at the main floor. 3 at the bottom where the core door is. code you get is 8467. enter it and observe the epic opening of the vault door with delayed timers, voila you have done it.

alternative entrance
the glowing stuff outside. the tank is broken, hop in.

secret 1:
at alternative entrance, when you enter the room, above you, left to the tanks sticking in form outside is a vent deco. bust it open. behind loot.

secret 2:
/shortcut
at alternative entrance, below the console between the tank in the first room is a vent. blow it open. it drops you right in front of the elevator room.


secret 3:
bottom level right fuel basin. go to the back on the right side where the cargo boxes are, the vent texture there is a trap door. to the left loot, in the vent to the right, follow the vent = more loot.

secret 4:
bottom level right fuel basin. go to the back on the right side where the cargo boxes are, dont go into the vent. tunr right. at the bottom there is a loot boxes between the pipes. if you move along the backw wall to the right you find loot. follow the wall throught the pipes and slip through you will find another container in the jungle of pipes. (should not be reachable from the other side)

secret 5:
at main entrance turn left. right next to the main door at the top is a vent. blow it open. follow it. you are in the fuel tower. jump puzzle to the top (easy). near the top is a lever to activate a trap door. with this you should be able to jetpack into the top section, which is in the middle ( = ultra rare loot).

secret 6:
(starts like 5) at main entrance turn left. right next to the main door at the top is a vent. blow it open. follow it. you are in the fuel tower. in the fuel tower jump down. at the bottom the vent in the direction of the main door is a trap door. go in. follow it to the right for more loot and an exit into the bottom level through a vent (motionsensor there makes vent trapdoor active, so not reachable form other side)

secret 7:
same as 6, bottom fuel tower, go in vent there, go straight, slightly left, follow the vent. you find a dead end. when you go up to the dead end one block look above, it is a vent. blow open = loot there.

addition to secret 7 (= author rambling)
i blocked/created the dead end there, because i originally had an alternative route to the core, without the puzzle. but with this you basily kill all outside, enter main door, turn right and are in the core throught the secret passages. so without much fighting. found this was bad. so i blocked it with this smily :P ). but you can open/edit it if you dont mind that design flaw or let the player blow the 2k hp through the deco walls and shutters before where he can peak into the core room.

secret 8 (the actual alternate core route, updated/added dec 2020)
look at the blast door to core room, boxes on the left side. enter the vent. go in, go down. the vent turns left,there at the corner is a hole in the ceiling. jetpack up. fight two turrets in crossfire, turn to direction fo the core room. at the floor is a vent. follow vent to core room back side

thx barnedog. you are totally right i messed this up when i updated the LCD's in the past there.

there was an update that changed sth with background and how things going over the area are displayed, it first was the 1x1 default bg and then i made it a square that is transparent. the picture are obviously older and i did not take new ones. kinda why they are right and it was wrong...

overall not the best riddle, since most people look it up. this has an alternate route from the airvent to the left of the big door to skip the lever, but the vent is a bit hidden too.

thx for the feedback very much appreciate it. i updated the version here and submited an update to eleon, so this should be fixed in the next update hopefully.

Late to the party on this one, as a few buddies and I just got back into the game after a couple years. We just completed the POI and the "4" in the code for the core room was definitely listed in the 3rd slot in the LCD Projection, rather than the 2nd. Took us looking it up and being very confused why it would be displayed that way; but looking at the main picture for this workshop page it looks like maybe there was an update where you changed the LCD Projector screens that contain the code from cyan to red. I think when that happened, the "4" was placed in the wrong slot. Let me know if I'm out to lunch on this.

- fixed the LCDs
- removed trader barking dialogue i put in wrongly
- named some switched+sensores, so might be easier to update in the future

Great little POI, thanks! loved all the hidden passage ways leading to stuff.

But I had to come here to figure out core access. Even reading the hint, I don't get it. The LCDs seem all empty in my game (Empyrion 1.5.7 + RE 1.5)

updated:

- added an actual alternative route to the core (see spoiler 8)
- added barking dialogue stuff
- removed mechanoid from basement spawn, since i added barking for zirax on the same spawner and it had mechs+zirax as a possibility
- extended a motionsensor range (hidden air vent at the back). so if the player loots the box the trap door opens, which should make the secret a bit more acessable/obvious. otherwise it would just be a shooting at vent textures)

@the gunner through walls: it was i think the commaner in the core room, which for some reason could shoot through the blast doors. i replaced this with a spawn pad that only goes only on if you pull the lever / get the code. does not fix the bug, but works.
@code: i did make one letter normal/arabic (next to the elevator with best visibility, so if you turn around from the door it is in your sight. made the lcd writing red + border for the code, so it stand out from the deco consoles next to them and is more visible as a code line. added red blinking lights pointing below the lcds.
@text hints: i tried to stay away from written stuff on purpose on this one. i know most speak/understand englisch, but it was a decision to keep this riddle more universal. if possible i want to keep it this way. still waiting on some let's player on youtube doing a run, where i can watch and get some feedback too ;)

There could be a pda (small LCD screen) in that prison/brig cell, saying something like "prisoner 9879429849 log; I think I found a way into the main control room. The password is scattered accross the co..."

So, this would ensure the player that the password is really there and he has to look closer. It is pretty frustrating in a game to try and find something, and later on acknowledge that the feature is not yet implemented...

I have seen some of your other poi creations (villages) and all are great looking. I am not visiting each page not to get a spoiler :D

@spawner; I entered the poi by breaking down one of the big windows up (the chamber with 3 tanks). I didn't kill both turrets, just the one before those windows (fyi, that one was not firing at me, I don't know why. It's lights were red. Only the main door turret was active, and green lights)
I didn't kill the working one, because I wanted to loot it after I destroyed the core : )

Since the turret covering the main entrance was up, I did not kill any zirax soldiers there before going in (so, it is probably not a respawning issue, it's initial spawning) , and I am not 100% if it was a minigunner or not. I believe the sound I heard was some automatic gun hitting me, tho.

@code mechanic; I think, if player gets a hint in the main control room, maybe put one of the panels there, and make that number a real latin number. That would give enough clue. Or, you could divide that room and make a cell on one part of it (or somewhere else, like a brig). (1/2)
