Description
Update 5/29/2021:
I have converted the modded ammo to use vanilla ammo. This will now allow vanilla ammo to be used with the modded guns. Simply put, all guns now use vanilla ammo. The AK47 will use the modded magazine and 762 ammo. The MP5 will still use the MP5 magazine & vanilla 9mm ammo.

To make this update compatible with the older version I have temporarily added the ability to convert modded ammo to vanilla ammo. Modded ammo will no longer work, just use the scroll menu and convert them.

I apologize for not getting this out sooner. I wanted to include new models for all the guns, but I could not learn blender in time. Currently my methods of 3d modeling works, but texturing is my downfall. I am still using the copy & paste method with photoshop and the texture image. Using this method does not show the detail I wanted to have. Consequently the delays are due to me being self-taught in everything I do modding-wise. If you’re an experienced blender modeler, send me a message if you would like to help.

What does this mod do?
Adds modern guns, ammo & mods in the game. You can find them at Police Stations, the Gun Store, the Army Base (vanilla base, due to how they setup the interior the guns are in a locker room), hidden caches and some other locations you would expect to find a firearm.
Please check the change log for new updates!
To some this mod may feel overpowered and not lore friendly. This is intentional. I started this mod to satisfy my needs in the game and am sharing this to the community.

Notice!
Once this mod is fully complete, I may create a lore friendly & balanced version. I will constantly improve this mod. Currently I only work on this mod when I am in the creative mindset, so please be patient as I balance life and continue development on this mod.

Currently as I continue to mod I find more efficient & effective ways at doing things. Thus the reason behind the 3 overhauls and re-writes this mod has gone through.
For the past 6 months I have been working on new guns that are more balanced. Once they are complete I will be releasing them separate from this mod.



Features:
Adds the following guns to the game; AK47, M4, MP5, MP5, MP9, M1014, M40A3.

Now features a multi-caliber Suppressor. You can attach it to the following; M4, MP9 and MP5.

All ammo can be packed into boxes, cans, cases and or a cache. Perfect for ammo hoarders and space savers!

A special cleaning kit that cleans (repairs) the firearm.

All guns, except MP9 & M40A3 have the ability to go single fire or full auto.

Added custom optics for all guns; Trijicon RMR, Eotech XPS2, StrikeEagle 1x6 Scope & Elcan Specter 1x4 Scope. Some guns will only allow certain optics.

Custom 3d models, textures, icons & sounds for all weapons.

Upped the spawn rate of custom magazines. This time you will have the magazines to shoot that ammo you will find.

Adjusted weapon stats for weapon effectiveness. No longer will you have to grind for an effective weapon accuracy, reload time and or aim time. You start with “okay” accuracy & reloading time, but you will at least be hitting your targets.


Note:
I have not tested this with the stable build. I do not expect it to work with any Build lower than 41.

Not compatible with mods that overwrite base vanilla weapon mods listed below.
x2Scope, x4Scope, x8Scope, AmmoStraps, Sling, FiberglassStock, RecoilPad, Laser, RedDot, ChokeTubeFull, ChokeTubeImproved.

Gun cleaning kit repairs the gun and is subject to the game programming on repair percentages.

Vanilla guns and ammo will not work with any modded guns or ammo and vice versa. When I am able to figure how I plan to remove the vanilla spawns. I have looked into possibly converting or integrating; however, it will cause a significant amount of work that I am not prepared to commit to at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is now implemented! All Guns now work with vanilla ammo. The AK47 is the only weapon that will have it’s own 762 ammo.


Bugs:
I am currently on a bug hunt. I will prioritize bugs and fix what I can. Please feel free to let me know if you find any, especially after the new update.

Rate of fire has changed in game. Currently I do not like the slow ROF for automatic weapons. I will fix this when I figure out a solution.
If you hold down the fire button and empty the mag you will notice your rate of fire slow down a little. I am looking into this issue however it may be an issue with the base game.

Removing suppressors from guns will destroy the suppressor. I am actively looking into how to fix this issue.

Attaching a suppressor to a modded weapon will eat your ammo. Eject the magazine before adding a suppressor

Currently I am considering this mod Complete. I will continue to fix any bugs that are found. New guns will be released separately at a later date.

This mod no longer works, at least as of June 7 2023.

The guns and ammo in this mod simply do not spawn anywhere in game. The mags and ammo caches do however. You can load up in debug more in solo, or admin if hosting and just spawn them in. Other than that, this mod is currently useless.

I can't find weapons anywhere, the moment I'm in an armoury or a military base, it's mostly just ammunition

Secondly, and I assume this if from this mod, the option to unpack ammo boxes given by this mod unpacks them as if they hold 100, but packing them via this mod requires only 20 rounds. This one's the worst of the two as this means you can unpack a box into 100 rounds and then pack them into five new boxes using 20 rounds each, creating a potential 400 more rounds out of nowhere. Naturally, this isn't much of an issue for single player (where doing it only impacts your experience) but I'd honestly say until it's fixed to either not use this mod in multiplayer servers at all or make sure to establish some ground rules everyone will follow regarding the ammo duplication this allows.

So, a fairly big bug I've notices is that the way the mod handles ammo boxes is all over the place and splits into two issues that, on their own, seem to allow even unintentional ammo duplication.

Firstly, the mod doesn't override the vanilla option to unpack ammo boxes. This isn't an issue on its own except that vanilla says that a box of ammo contains 40 rounds vs this mod's 20. This means you can unpack a .308 ammo box using the vanilla option, load a 20 round mag, and then pack the remaining 20 .308 rounds into a new box using this mod's method.
