Desolation - Collectibles

This is a guide to find at least the 10 collectibles (holograms - yes, when firing at that blue pod, the Horzine logo is shown as a hologram). There are more and I'm sharing those I found. Sorry if sometimes description seems generic but well, I'm still not decided to do maps like for VCD...

Introduction

Some of the screenshots were taken with enemies hitting me, fortunately, when it's a new map, I'm always a Berserker (lvl 25). I was for once in Hard, because usually, I do the discoveries in Normal. And it was my luck to have Hans just behind me when I finally found the hologram in the mess (I was sure that one of them was hidden behind the counter).

It is also funny that it's when you're not searching for them anymore that you found four or five without problem...

I do hope you'll enjoy this guide because... well, I wasn't pursued by a Bloat and its annoying laugh for nothing.

Also, I want to credit Toy Elf and Bro Bike as they found two collectibles that I didn't see. Credit also to BlackMilk, who is doing a fantastic job with their videos of all collectibles.

Outside (7)

In the open container, next to the Trader near the helicopter

On the roof of the entrance area for the helicopter, hard to see without a zoom but well got it on my first try. I also provided a closer view.


Also in the helicopter area but this time on the other side, next to a fence


Behind the fences. I saw it the first time but couldn't get it. In fact you have to shoot between in the space between the two fences! And this is where I began to question why I let a Bloat as last enemy in my quest because I got puked on several times before getting the shot and the screenshot.

Entrances (2)

Above a metal detector in one of the entrances to the complex (when you come from outside)



In the reception/lockers room, just in front of the helicopter

Command Center (3)

Inside the map room, on the right side of it when facing it


In one of the hallways leading to the command center room after the first stairs (if you come from the bottom level).


In the generator control room, on a beam, above the highest desk. I knew that there was one there in the room and that I needed to be in the dark to see it.

Behind the door that is malfunctioning in an hallway leading to the mess - Kinda tricky but doable... I did it with a Bloat vomiting on me... but it took me some tries to have the right angle


Next to an entrance to the Mess (entrance opposite of the counter)


Above a locker in the hallway with the vegetation, just after, you arrive at the obstacle course


In the hallway with vegetation, you have a blocked path towards the medical research area. Go there, on your left, you have an open door. There is a hologram there. I was sure one was hidding there. Found it!

Shooting Range/Obstacle Course (3)

On a corner at the broken window above the obstacle, nearly in front of the previous collectible - a Scrake threw me down at the moment I was taking the screenshot... But I got a clearer view :)


In the obstacle course, at the very end of it (follow the arrows for that), behind the last enemy (here, it's not activated so that you can see the hologram)

Mess (3)

In the fridge/cold chamber behind the counter - I had to kill Hans before taking the screenshot else I wouldn't have the achievement for surviving the map in Hard.

Behind the door of the open truck, you must jump from the entrance of the garage to get it. No wonder it is one that is probably missed a lot. - Credit to BlackMilk

Garage (3)

In one of the pits (when you arrive from outside, it's the pit on the left, here). You must go behind the vehicle.

Btw you nailed it the one in the command room roof, I was sure one was here in the room, had no idea I had to jump on the fence to look for it.
