Random POI Scan Days [WOTC]

Description
Randomizes (more) the number of days to scan Points of Interest (POIs).
POIs are those little side objectives you can scan on the Geoscape that give you supplies, intel, soldiers, items, etc.

POI scans will now take anywhere from 3-10 days to complete, instead of the default range of 5-8 days. The average of 6.5 days to scan is the same either way, so it does not increase nor decrease difficulty. But, this means you may need to give more consideration when prioritizing which POIs to scan - allowing for more divergent gameplay experiences.

Number of days configurable in the INIs. 100% safe to enable or disable at any time. May not work with other mods that modify POI scan ranges.

For more Geoscape randomness, try using Random Supply Drop Interval.

I use CI, so I'm not able to make use of this mod directly, but downloading it did reveal to me which file to edit to achieve similar results in CI. This was still incredibly useful. Thanks, @Alex Nares !

This really does add a lot to the strategy layer in an elegant way

@Colossus LWOTC changes these settings to 1-2 days, you could edit the same ini in it for the effect this mod has (XComGameBoard.ini).

Has anyone tested this with LWOTC?

Just finished a campaign with about 685 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.

AML would only show conflicts for "Class Overrides" that alter the same files. This mod doesn't use class overrides, it just edits the default INI config parameters - so AML won't be able to tell if there's a conflict. It could be that Covert Infiltration is trying to edit the same config parameters.

Anything known about compatibility with Covert Infiltration? I tried this mod along with CI, but it seems like the random days are just getting overridden by CI's changes, yet AML doesn't show conflicts.

This is a great mod! It's so weird how such a small change can create so much more depth in the strategy layer. Great job!
