Portal Keys

Description
There are 2 keys in each main biome. You need to find at least 1 of them to enter the portals at the bottom of the biome.

In "...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\881100\2079254710\config.lua", you can configure:
- an estimate of how many keys are there in each main biome (default is 2);
* (more than 15 is not recommended)
- how many keys are required to enter the portals in each main biome (default is 1);
- whether the keys emit light in dark (default is true).
* (if you set 10 keys in each biome and 3 required to enter portals, no light emitting may also be fun)

This adds some more exploration vibe to the game.

Note:
- A key-shaped minor will hover around you as an indication that you have enough keys to enter the portals in the current biome when it's the case.
- Keys are biome-specific. Keys found in one biome does not count for portals in another biome.
- In rare cases not enough keys may spawn in a biome. In those cases the portals at the bottom of the biome will still open for you if you collected all the keys in the biome.

I'm having an Issue with not being able to enter the portal after getting the key

1. No
2. Yes, I did it before looking for them because I forgot I hadn't any (spent too much time looting in fungal caverns)

Were there a key-shaped minor around you in Coal Pits? Have you tried entering the portal in Coal Pits?

It seems that it doesn't always spawn keys. I was stuck in Coal Pits, literally checked every chunk of this biome twice and there was no single key. Are there any known mod incompatibilities? I used bunch, i.a. minimap (that makes me concerned I checked every spot possible), new enemies, inventory bags, increased inventory and others that have anything to do with portals. It was working fine in the previous run, though. And I run the default config for this.

Finally I revived this long dead mod. New features are in too.

It looks like this mod isn't working with the 1.0 update, I can go through portals even without collecting a key.

Tried this for the first time and had my strongest start to a run thus far, though I could not find the portal key and ended up dying to a simple accident after having roamed through the first zone for nearly an hour. I'm guessing the key spawned in a closed off cave, and I had no bombs left. That was pretty infuriating, and I have uninstalled this mod and will not be using it again ever. It's not a bad idea for people who enjoy this kind of challenge I suppose, but it's this 'getting stuck in an otherwise good game because I couldn't find a stupid little artifact in a big area which bars me from progressing' element that made me stop playing 'The Curious Expedition' in the first place, so I don't know why I assumed this would add anything beneficial to my experience.

However, if it's of any clue, I also experience the teleport-inside-ground when using cheatgui to teleport to the holy mountain temple in jungle or vault, and some other biomes too. I have to do the teleport a second time for it to get me inside the temple.

My processor is i7-4790, 4GHz. Hard drive is a Crucial MX100 SSD, 256 GB. So doesn't seem too likely that it's too weak, and I never experience lag when playing.
