Both to the 2 marking systems, the tanks had their own names chosen by their commanders or by their own crew. Sometimes, there were some codification : 1st company napoleonic battles 2nd famous generals, 3rd French or colonial cities and so on ... But sometimes, it was quite ramdomly chosen ...

Please take note that the 4 "aces" (spades, diamond ...) were almost mandatory used the identify the sub unit composing a regiment or a battalion (section or company)

That`s the probleme - only special kind of propaganda is not forbidden. A chance to learn from history and how propaganda works through the time and locations will been a better way.
