[WOTC] Zip Mode LITE

Description
If you think that the effects of Zip Mode are a little too strong, this is a simple ini edit mod that reduces those effects by half.

Normally, Zip Mode multiplies soldier movement speed by x1.15. This mod reduces that to x1.07.

There are also certain animations (such as shooting, planting bombs, evac) that Zip mode normally multiplies speed by x2. This mod reduces that to x1.5.

Also, Zip Mode normally disables some important mission dialogue and camera pans - this mod re-enables that stuff, so you won't miss any tactical advice from Bradford during a mission.

The result is a faster (than normal) gameplay experience that still looks good.

For clarification - this mod does not increase game speed on its own. This mod edits an already-existing option (Zip Mode) in the default game.

Safe to enable or disable at any time. Compatible with all mods.

This mod is great! Things are a little less cartoon-y fast, and something about the camera speed when firing makes 1-hit kills really satisfying.

Thanks! Was leery of using Zip Mode on a first playthrough because of the camera pan changes. Your mod handles that nicely: faster animations with all the dialogue and camera work.

Yep. If you turn it on, it speeds up animations and reduces delay between actions for smoothing gameplay. But I think some animations are too fast, which is where this mod comes in.

Oh shit. Really? I'd never heard of zip mode in my whole playtime. I naturally assumed it was a mod...

Zip Mode is a built-in feature in XCOM 2. No other mods required. You can enable Zip mode from the options menu (under gameplay I think).

But if this requires the "Zip Mode" mod, you should have listed that in the requirements section.

Glad I could help :)

Ah, duh! Not separate from zip mode, just modifies the values. Thanks!

I'm not sure I understand the question. If you disable Zip Mode, then no - it will not work.

Will this work with mods that require the game's native zip mode to be disabled? (I'm assuming no, but for clarity's sake.)
