Neanderthal 2nd Edition

This is a mod of the 2nd Edition of Neanderthal by Sierra Madre Games, with some setup scripting.

It features new scans of all images from the latest errata'd cards and custom meeples.

The latest living rulebook is available on Google Docs[].

I recommend getting yourself a copy of Nathan Morse's excellent Neanderthal Holistic Summary[] whether you play this mod or the physical game. It's pretty much how I learned the game - after reading the rulebook it allowed me to walk through my first few plays.

I recommend that once you've dealt the cards you lock them in place so you don't disturb them when gathering your hunters.

Planned features include:
- Put the latest version of Nathan's Holistic Summary back into the mod
- Ooh, some other stuff too

Credit for some of the recent changes go to Evert Coetzee.

And yes, this description does look a lot like the one for my Greenland 3rd Edition mod. Funny that.

Greenland 2nd Edition[] designed by Phil Eklund. If you like this mod please consider purchasing the game.

Should be sorted now - might need to disable cache again to ensure you get the updated "stuff".
Apologies - enjoy your bottlenose dolphin :steamfacepalm:

Righty, I've found the issue - it's still referencing something on my own drive rather than the cloud.
I'll get a fix put up shortly.

Same problem here, mod caching didnt help:

Load image failed unsupported format: UNKNOWN supported formats:...

I did test mod caching, didn't help; the specific error is that it claims the south row cards are in an unsupported file type, which is all the more strange given the north ones don't have the problem.

I just turned off mod caching and loaded up the version from the Steam Workshop, and the Southern Row cards seem to load fine for me (all cards have images, at least).
What seems to be the issue? Have you tried turning off mod caching (which will force the images and things to reload)?

Southern Row seems to fail to load correctly.

Now you can upgrade the playmat with the new version (made by me)
