Description
Now has custom windows, simplified propulsion, new micro controllers, a gyro, X15 rudder and angled elevators, and NASA livery with tail number of Pete Knight's X15 that broke Mach 6.8! Also paint blocks, markings, included checklist, and generally refined.

This is a very small and very fast speed test aircraft, the X15. A real world rocket propelled test craft from the 1960s that was capable of speeds over Mach 6, the top speed ever recorded was 4,520 mph and that world record for a rocket propelled manned aircraft is still held in 2020. In Stormworks that kind of speed is not possible without ungainly amounts of engines and I prefer smaller less CPU taxing aircraft. To that end i've made a nice 1:1 scale X15 capable of over 300 KPH. I am working on a B52 that I have already launched this thing with many times and it will be out soon with the X15 attached!

The newest version features a simplified diesel ducted fan system. While slower than the old system it is far more efficient and simple and allows the plane to be far easier to handle. Its a very fun and maneuverable jet especially in the YAW axis and I have a blast buzzing the Sawyer Island Canyons with it.

The checklist is included inside the cockpit on the left, and it is much simpler now. Part of the checklist is used in launching from the B52, you'll be able to use it soon!

Flight Checklist
1. Main Power
2. Arm Release System
3. Arm Engine
4. Release X15
5. Fire Engine with button "1" (If Launching From Ground, Gear UP)
6. On final approach, shut down engine with "1"
7. Gear Down
8. Land

There is a button on the left side cockpit behind the seat the closes the canopy. My brother and I have mounted it under a B52. We are testing it and will soon be releasing it.
