Description
Remove undesirable skills from your skill-panel. Are you playing with 15 class-mods that add several hundred new abilities? Do you find yourself repeatedly respeccing every hour trying to find the perfect build? You thought Flaming-Skin was super edgy but it turned out to be hot-garbage?, Not only were you scammed, it also has left a permanent mark in your spellbook to constantly remind you of your blunder?
Chances are, your skill-panel is FUBAR and needs some declutterin'. Well, I've got just what you need.

Requirements
Features
The mod adds a unique artefact known as the "Forgetinator" that is able to selectively purge memories from the user. You can find it in one of the torture-rooms in Fort Joy Dungeons. It will also be added to your inventory automatically if you never picked it up, dropped it somewhere or have otherwise moved-on from Fort Joy.

How to use this mod:
  1. Save your game before you go purging any skills.
  2. Open your skill-panel (default: K) and hit "Reset-All" or manually remove all memorized skills. (you can leave the ones you wish to remove memorized).
  3. Memorize only the skills that you wish to remove from the character. Double-check.
  4. Use the Forgetinator from your inventory. BANG! Just fire and forget, literally.
  5. Make sure you don't regret what you've done. Reload if you do.
Works on mod-added skills too. Purge 'em ALL!!!

Alternate Fire-Mode
Combine the Forgetinator with Tongs to toggle safety features. Once turned off, the Forgetinator will remove every skill that is NOT on any of your skillbars(/hotbars). This includes innate skills, skills granted by items (All-In, Shield-Up, Purge), skills granted by statuses(Fly, Medusa-Head) etc. If it's not on your hotbar, its a GONER.

Exercise Extreme Caution: Removing something like Source Vampirism or Spirit Vision will probably brick your game. I'll advise you to save your game before you remove skills and turn safeties ON again (by combining it with a Tong) after you're done.

NOTE: The mod only removes skills from the character. It does not prevent the character from re-learning those skills - i.e. if a mod adds skills using scripts, those skills will probably reappear the next time you load your save. Same with skills granted by items. The skills are removed from the character and not the items itself, they'll be added to your character again when you next equip them or reload the save with them equipped.

UI-Components-Library Integration
If you have the UI-Components-Library, you can toggle fire-modes by simply right-clicking and selecting the context-menu option.

You don't know how long I've been looking for this, no one understands.

Can you test this on a new-game?
You can use Joyless Beginnings - Skip Act 1 to skip straight to Act-2 after character creation.

Checked and file is in the right place and it shows up in my mod list on the main menu. If I can't get it to work, it's not the end of the world. I just think it's a great concept and very handy for people with OCD like myself lol

Does ..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods directory have the S7_Forgetinator_666193a1-7736-42cd-9a9c-6ecf99d422eb.pak file?

You may be subscribed but steam sometimes forgets to put the files in the right place.

If that file doesn't exist, check here ..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\435150\2049313850 . This is where steam downloads the mod when you subscribe to it. It then needs to copy it to the Larian Studios directory, but sometimes it conveniently forgets that. You can copy it yourself if that's the case.

@Hunter-Ghost-27

I don't have the wand in my inventory. I double checked and the mod is definitely activated.

@jtcarc It's the least I can do.
You don't need tongs for that. Check your inventory for a unique wand named "Forgetinator" . Its icon is a white glowy stick with a golden name and border. You use that to remove skills.

The tongs are used to toggle the Forgetinator's alternate fire-mode (by combining tongs and the wand in the crafting menu), which allows you to remove pretty much any skill. This wand will have a purple glow in its icon as opposed to white; and a whole lot of red text in its description.

Either way, its the "Forgetinator" that's responsible for removing skills and not the tongs. The tongs are just needed to switch between the two modes.

@Hunter-Ghost-27 First, I really appreciate your help. Second, I found the pair of tongs in the prison basement, however, nothing happens when I double click them. I believe they are just a regular pair of tongs lol?

@jtcarc
First, you should check the Driftwood prison. Go in the magister barracks (X:342 Y:157) and then into the basement dungeon through the hatch. You'll find one lying on the floor opposite to the last cell. (X:182 Y:719)

Next, you can try the sawmill/lone-wolf camp, right next to where you initially find Fletcher Corbin Day. (X:529 Y:416)

There's a bunch of tongs near the palisade gate in the black pits. Right before the infamous fight. One is atop an oil-rig tower (X:663 Y:146) next to a burning house. There's two more (X:300 Y:718) in a cellar inside a house (X:700 Y:133) next to the gate.

The X, Y coordinates are on the mini-map. Place your character in the vicinity and press Alt. to highlight.

@Hunter-Ghost-27 I've cleared everything aside from the gy, blackpits, and bloodmoon isle. I've hit up Haran a couple of times with no luck. I'm trying to respec prince and get rid of that clutter lol
