A Borg cube hovers over an innocent little colony ... slingers are no match for these grey-skinned monsters!

... except that the "cube" is just a façade. Take a look 'round the back, and you will find an empty cube, full of empty beds and grocer tables, left behind by the hard-working construction worker colonists who built it!

This is my entry to the recent Colony Survival / Artificial Extinction contest. The submission criterion was a screenshot, so I used a very old film-making trick of creating just the part that the audience would see! The original plan was to have a fully-functioning colony *inside* a Borg cube ... but wow that's a lot of work!

(Check out the contest entry by BoneIdle, which *is* a fully-functional colony space, and very sci-fi / extraterrestrial!)

I'm uploading this world for anyone who might want to take it from here, snap screenshots in different lighting, use this as inspiration for their own work, or whatever.
