EMD SD40-2 Phase II Locomotive

Description
The EMD SD40-2 is a 3,000-horsepower (2,200 kW) C-C road switcher diesel-electric locomotive built by EMD from 1972 to 1989.
The model represented is a phase II locomotive, built between 1976 and 1979, featuring the "waffle" radiator grills, brake wheel and 88in nose.
THE THROTTLE LEVER NAMED "DYNAMIC" ACTUALLY CONTROLS THE DIESEL ENGINE.

THIS IS A UNPAINTED MODEL.

Engine start-up process:
Looking from the front, go to the left side of the long body of the locomotive, open the two high door on the long hood and unlock the EMD 16-645E3 starter inside the long hood, next to the engine itself.

Great model! Only issue ive found is that when started, I get 3000 RPM, This creates a disturbing noise and I dont know if the engine will blow up.

Hey Shadow, I'm making a repaint based off of a painting my grandfather did of a steam locomotive.
I most likely wont post it, but if I do, are fine with me doing so.

for some reason it only runs for a min or less then dies and isnt using up any fuel
