Panzerkampfwagen IX "Zerstörer"

Description and summary:

The Pzkpfw IX (9) "Zerstörer" Artillerie-Plattform was a fictional tank made by Germany during the Second World War. The Vehicle had the chassis of the Pzkpfw VIII (8) "MAUS", but had a different turret. The turret had a 250mm long-barreled smooth-bore Artillery canon with a range of 4km. The cannon was capable of damaging battleships if fired form ashore, but it was never used for that purpose. The "Zerstörer" had the ability to use powered traverse for it's turret all-though that limited it's total travel-range and ran the risk of emptying the batteries. Due to this reason the vehicle had a hand-crank engine-starter, almost always used manual aiming. The powered traverse was useful if the vehicle where at risk to be hit by small-arms that could injure or kill the crew. The vehicle was only ever a prototype and could not be put into mass production due to the resource strain that the Germans suffered during 1945.

Info:
The "Zerstörer" has an extendable Ballistic Sight such as the one on the "Storm Cannon". The vehicle is *very* heavy and is thus quite slow. Be careful when firing rapidly as it is possible to damage the track-wheels. The cannons traverse is quite slow because of the weight of the Turret-structure, but the elevation is still relatively fast. With 8° of depression, and 35° of inclination this cannon will be able to deal with Tanks as well as aircraft, just be sure to stay at a distance if the enemy explodes as it might damage you too.
