Vassalize Over the World

In 1 collection by Lawh
Kenshi à la Lawh
36 items
Description
Turn certain towns and cities into your vassals. Collect taxes from the large towns you have turned into vassals. See the tax collector for the money. He should have a house somewhere in town.

Once you have killed the leader or leaders of a town, back away from the town until the game reloads the town.

WARNING:
- Avoid mods that greatly change world states. Big mods are the ones with a greater chance of conflict, but smaller mods might break things as well.

I put it below living world so that this overrides and haven't found issues yet, but I also have terminal restartitis so I've only ever taken over a single ruin one time.

Good stuff. And no problem, mods can get tricky and this mod series is especially prone to conflicts and bugs.

Try Port North, and making sure Lady Kana is no more. Then move away from the desert with all of your people, and then move back to Port North to see if there is a change. And no bother at all.

Ok, between the ambiguity of whose deaths are necessary and the fact that it requires outright death, im having a lot of trouble confirming if the mod even works. sorry to bother you for this, but could you give me one city and a list of who needs to die to vassalize it? because at this point ive fucked up my rep with everyone for no gains, and i either need to confirm this can work, or start over.

Mostly, there is either a vanilla town leader with an important lore role, or a leader with a TOTW_Leader tag in their name, or both, and on some occasions you have to go on a rampage. I never got to really finalizing this system to make more sense, but mostly it's a good idea to kill everyone who looks important. You also have to make sure they're dead, and not unconscious or kidnapped, or anything like that. Proper dead. I've heard use of skin peelers, wild dogs, and crucifixions. Whatever happens to them, they need to end up in heaven.

Ok, final questions.
what are the exact conditions for town takeover? There are characters with a tag for this mod, do i have to kill all of them? Do i just have to kill the one with a leader tag? is it a complete purge where i have to kill all the ones with the mod label, the characters in town with diplomatic status and their lieutenants?
Lastly, does a takeover require the deaths of the needed character/s, or does kidnapping and imprisonment work?

1. Once you take over a town, the citizens will be of a generic faction named "Your Vassal" or something like that. The populace is replaced with this faction, so there won't be any hostilities with the new populace. The faction you took the town from will be angry though, but they will be angry in their own towns.

2. You should leave the town and go far enough with your people so that the town will reload itself. Then once you return, the town should show up as a green color, showing that they are allied to you. Blue is your color, red is hostile, and green is for friends.

3. There can be a lot of mods that conflict with these take over mods, as this I think is beginning to reach the limits of what an and should be done. The 256 mod should not affect this mod at least, but other mods that change anything about the main towns are likely to cause some problems. The mods that go with this one are quite limited. There is the "limited" version of this mod, which should work with most other mods, but that has no vassals and so on. Only the ruins and little places are conquerable.
