RedistHeat - Unofficial 1.1 Update

Description
Updated to work with 1.1 by TaranChuk, Published to the workshop by me
Important
If you are installing this on an existing save you have to delete all vents/temperature buildings first. Even then it's possible that the duct network doesn't behave correctly.

Equalize temperature of every room
Build (lockable) vents to equalize temperature between adjacent rooms. Build massive duct networks of your own and make central heating/cooling system.

Better graphics
Vents and ducts can only be built over a wall, rather than acting as one. No longer clutter your fort's walls with one-cell vents. Small cooler and medium heater, which are also wall mounting, comes with this mod.

More tools
Big bases can use industrial scale heaters and coolers for effectively keeping its temperature.

General usage
The temperature buildings and the smart outlet have buttons to adjust the target temperature.

The duct intake tries to equalize the temperature between the duct network and the room it's placed taking heat/cold from the room and pushing it into the net.
The duct outlet and the smart outlet try to equalize them too, but taking the heat/cold from the network to the room. The difference between the normal and the smart outlet is that the smart closes itself automatically to keep a room at the desired temperature, and the normal does not.

The duct cooler cools the network down and expels heat in the room it's in.

If upgrading to v44a from previous versions you probably will have to start a new colony.

DUCTWORK IS BACK!

I'll explain it a bit.

First, now you can connect the industrial versions of the heater and the cooler to the duct network. You can't ouput to the net an the room at the same time so I added a button to switch between the two.

Second, the the duct outlets need flow to distribute the network heat. The only way to generate flow is wit the duct intakes each producing 16 units of flow. Since the outlets require 4, you can have up to four per intake if you want them at full throttle. The intakes suck a lot of air so a room of at least a 4x4 room is needed. They will also pull air from connected rooms so the temperature in the surrounding rooms is also important.

The new system is poorly tested so feel free to post about any bug fixes/balance suggestions/general feedback you want.

Please remember that if you want your save to be remotely compatible with the update you must destroy every industrial heater/cooler and exhaust por you have. Even then it may still be incompatible.

That's all! I'm sorry for the long wait and I hope you have a great time playing with this mod :)

is it possible to update the mod to 1.4?
I have tried other solutions and they are not so universal or their active elements are too demanding. and not all are universal for both heating and cooling through a "single system"

I love the Bad Hygene mod, gives us back the option of central heating, AND adds a new need for your colonists to consider - needing to go to the bathroom and wash up regularly (or 2 new needs with the hydration option on).

Dub's bad hygene is doing a good job of it. I wish though that he would adopt some of the very nice in wall heating/cooling items.

Dubwise also did something very interesting in that the "pipes" are really a data bus and the buildings/furniture can be connected anywhere on that bus.

Not likely... There are way better solutions out there nowadays.

Will this be updated?

Every time I think I understand how the industrial heater and ducting works I fail to understand how it works.

Someone needs to claim and maintain this very important mod.

I second what Elkstone has said.

Found a bit of an oddity with balancing load between Exhaust Ports connected to an Industrial Cooler. I have 4 exhaust ports on an industrial cooler, the cooler is set to a temp of -100F and even with only two of the exhaust ports active, is easily able to keep the network temp at -100F as set. However, if I add in the additional exhaust ports, and connect only one of them to a separate network (my hot network), suddenly it is unable to keep the cold network below -52F, even though I have more total exhaust than I did before.

So the venting system seems.. tempermental at best. It seems not only to take in an inconsistent temperature through air intakes, it also seems to push a very weak heating/cooling suggestion into rooms it's connected to. So far it's done a mixture of struggling to keep up with freezing a room, struggling to heat rooms, cool rooms, and now with one air intake at 28C it's trying to insist the network with no coolers on it is at 0C and is chilling all rooms to about 6C. Not really sure what do
