The Medical Mission

Description
Never deny medical aid to anyone no matter the cost. This means you must help all who are in need or in peril.

Build your colony with only those who voluntarily join. You cannot lower any prisoner's resistance to make them join. But you must treat them if they are downed in a fight and release them once they are well enough to walk.

Treat the men in black who come to help as a reinforcement unit sent by your homebase to support your mission.

Your first goal is to establish a good hospital and research facility. Next is to become friendly with all factions. Then you must eradicate the pirates who threaten the safety of everyone on this rimworld. Lastly, either build a ship, journey to the escape ship, or find favor with royalty to finally return home. All the while researching to enrich your colony's medical prowess and max out all the medical branches of the research tree.

You lose if all colonists die or if your colony no longer has anyone who is capable of caring.

Your faction will be a New Arrivals.

That sounds fun. It's like having two teams--a science and military team. If you're worried about being too OP because of the continuous interval then set the MIB event to maybe arrive at 5 days then set it to not repeat. And then make another setting to set up the MIB event again for 10 days and set that to not repeat, too. Set as many non-repeating events with incremental days to ensure you'll have MIBs for the duration of your run or until you predict it would result in enough colonists.

Re: "Treat the men in black who come to help as a reinforcement unit sent by your homebase to support your mission."

What is the trigger for this aside from the chance vanilla "all colonists downed" trigger? Did you intend to make a recurring event generate a "Man in Black" every so many days? Just curious.

The reason I ask is that I was considering adding one myself to this scenario at a periodic interval (Not sure how often. I don't want it to be too OP).

I might even make it more challenging to "Prepare Carefully" my initial colonists to be incapable of violence. Challenging, but might be fun! :)

What are your thoughts?

Hey friend, I just wanted to let you know that I featured your scenario in an article I wrote called "6 RimWorld Scenarios to Try" [start2continue.com]. That and wanted to say, awesome work! It's been a lot of fun trying out and playing your scenario. :D Keep it up.
