Description
Welcome to 3-stage map cp_ambush. Each stage has 2 CP's that you need to capture in order to advance. After capturing all 6, you win the game. As RED, naturally you have to stop BLU from capturing!

This has been over a year long project for me. Please leave a vote and feedback to help me make this even better. Have fun!

Server to test on: 89.166.50.111:27045 (Finland, runs the map 24/7)

Hi

The map already has nav mesh, its just packed into the bsp itself. Perhaps thats why your game crashes.

Hello!
First off, I really like this map! Good job!

I ran into an issue where when I try to generate a navmesh for bots, only one or two of the sections get saved. After using the commands for sampling walk-able space I could only get the first two points.

I tried connecting them by generating them out of bounds, but that ended up crashing my game. Is there any way to generate a navmesh that contains all three points?

If there isn't, are you able to create a navmesh for the map?

Not trying to dismiss the other peoples work, because without them Gravestone wouldnt be as it is today. However just to get facts straight, 4/5 people who took part in Gravestone did only models, animations, particle effects and textures to it. Map design was solely by me. So dont use that as an argument against Erebus design, which was also done by me. The other person who took part in erebus, also did some models to it.

Now that being said, this map was tryly designed elevation in mind. It is not easy to learn out but just like dustbowl, you either like it or dont. I noticed people said Erebus was hard to defend for the first week of halloween and towards the end of it, it was really hard to cap even the first point at times.

I will consider your feedback as I make new maps. Constructive one is okay and i always like to read it, good or bad. Thanks!

That's fair, I guess you aren't a hater. It still ended up one of my favorite maps though. I make maps for classic Doom. I get that criticism is needed. I just want to defend what I think is a solid, fun map.

Also, I am not a hater. He made a lot of nice maps. Gravestone is my favorite Halloween map. It is okay to have some criticism to map design and a reason to improve. Because Gravestone was made by 5 people, but Erebus was made by one

The height variations make playing Engineer and Soldier a lot of fun. The map as a whole challenges me, in the same way that Dustbowl does. That's why I like it.

It is really hard to get around. Even if you get used to it. I will never understand the point of getting up, up, up and then down, down to get to an enemy base

Don't listen to the haters. This map is super fun, and definitely not hard to get around. I love Erebus, and I hope this gets added to the game!
