Description
I created this Mod for one reason alone. I didn't use most of the original Vanilla Shogun2 generals skills. I never used intimidating or living treasure, nor legendary warrior. Allthough being skills exclusively for 6 star generals their benefits were too weak. Now all skills in my new Skilltree have 3 levels. Hopefully you now find all of the skills a good choice and have more freedom to choose which one is best for your playstyle. I also added 3 New skills (marked with "***").

IMPORTANT NOTES

***** Known Bugs *****
- The new Skills, marked with "***" (shinobi, cavalry tactics and infantry tactics) only work for their first level. Please don't put more than one point in them. I need to erase those skills from the tech tree... hopefully without the need to create a complete new one.
- You have to start a new campaign, it's not really safegame compatible. This is a limit being a mod, only CA could make these changes and staying kinda safegame compatible *****
***** Known Fixes for Problems *****
- missing Skill names in all languages other than English. So just switch to english, if you miss em.
***** New Features in V1.2 (08.December2013)*****
- added the Ikko Ikki Generals. They have 5 completely new and unique skills, but loose the 5 body skills.
- added a special takeda-only skill. This was a testdrive for my plan to give every clan an own special skill for their generals.
***** Planed Features *****
- I will add a special skill for every clan. (perhaps except otomo. its so hard to mod them right now with assemblys kit) If you have good ideas for what should be a skill exclusively for a clan, send me a private message. an explanation, why u think that clan should have that skill would be nice. For example: Takeda should have something boosting their cavalry. (btw: I found a way to do this, without the need of restarting a campaign, if you already startet it with an actual version of this mod. so all future addons of this mod will be safegame compatible (safegames of this mod of course))
- I think about adding another skilltree to all generals. Boosting the stats of all troops under his command. I will have to test the possibilities of this skilltree. If i would ad this skilltree it would be safegame compatible to previous versions of this mod, so don't worry

THE CHANGES

I have changed the experience tableau for the general as well. The following chart shows you the number of experience points you need for the level ups. In total you need 430 points to reach 6 stars. (for your info: without my mod you need 400 to reach 6 Stars)
1 Star: 0XP = 0 SKillpoints
2 Stars: 40XP = 3 Skillpoints
3 Stars: 60XP = 3 Skillpoints
4 Stars: 80XP = 4 Skillpoints
5 Stars: 100XP = 5 Skillpoints
6 Stars: 150XP = 6 Skillpoints
" I made the level up system much more linear. The huge bump in needed XP from 5 to 6 Stars tries to compensate for the 5 new extremely powerful 6 Star general Abilities getting available (Living legend, intimidating, Siege defender, siege attacker and legendary warrior). "

" This skill tree is for the charismatic abilities of the General. In summary it enables the general to increase the campaign map movement speed, decrease the upkeep, boosts his active skills and aura diameter. The miscellaneous benefits like more loyalty/honor or converting a province to his religion are part of this skill tree too. "

" This skilltree mostly supports sea or ambush related battles. It also increases the amount of plundered goods. The 6 Star Skill Intimidating was boosted the most, but is by far the skill with the most prerequisite skills. Originally he decreased the enemy moral by 1 point regardless if this skill was level 1 or 2. This alone was boosted massively "

" I boosted this skilltree allot. I know, if you max this part of the skilltree (investing 15 Points) Your generals numbers will rise 3 times (40 will become 130) and his fighting power will rise significantly. He will now even rival hero units. The reason i did this is plain simple. If you invest hours of gameplay into your general (to get him to level 6) and invest almost every skillpoint in his bodyguard/fighting tree, then he should be an extremely powerfull unit on the battlefield. He is still mortal and strong counterunits will still ripp him apart, but now he isn't a weakling who has to fear every enemy unit. In fact now he has to be feared by most. "

"i punish the generals early in this skilltree through the isolation bodyguard reduction. The skills in this tree are very potent, especially the lategame ones. (5 and 6 Stars) So i think it's worth the hard way. I replaced the Body tree, because i think the Ikko Ikki didn't have alot of samurai, so there general bodyguards aren't good fighters or great in numbers."


As allways: This mod is as small as it can be and the buggy data from B.O.B. (one of the tools you need to make mods for shogun 2) was removed. Thats the reason, why you shouldn't have a soundbug if you only use this mod. And it should work with allmost all other mods.

The clan specific skills where implemented? No matter which clan I start with, they always seem to be the Takeda ones. If you didn't include them, that guy a couple coments back that you let use this in his compilation, ended expanding that way. I just don't like everything in his compilation, but you can ask him to give you what he exapnded.

yeah, deleting is extremely clunky in shogun 2, caused alot of bugs and frustration

But I checked your .pack file, and you seem to have been able to delete those line to put your own...? And as I was testing your mod, there seem to be a lot of skill that actually don't do anything. Like the mediator skill doesn't actually give you a discount on unit, nor does any skill that enhance escape chance work on generals... :/

hi lucky, the easy way is to set it to 0, because if you delete the line, the original value is getting used

@Zinnsoldat : Hey there, I'm actually working on a skill mod for personal use, but I can't figure out how to delete vanilla skills... For exemple, I'm trying to remove the 30% increase in general bodyguards for the Legendary Warrior skill, but when I remove the row, it stills apply in game. Could you help me out with that please? Thanks and nice mod by the way!
