Khali: The smelter is a point of contention! I originally couldn't find somewhere believable to put it, and then I wanted the house to feel less forgey and more workshoppy. But I understand the irritation. I will have a look into it.
DarkDestroyer: No, this mod will work without DLC.
You forgot the Smelter though. Its a pain having to run to a town with a smelter then back home just so I can work on black smithing. Speaking of the smithing set up, I'm not sure having it on the roof deck is the right idea. I like the deck but not the thought of having to haul all that heavy pile of ingots, ore, and hides up there. Maybe consider adding in a stone foundation behind the house and putting the smithing set up on it. Don't forget to add a chest to store ingots, ore, and leather in.
The two locations are very close, however my house occupies the bluff just behind the farm so they should fit together (closely) but without issue. Any problems, let me know!
