FSV Sojourner Mk. 4

Description
We here at Flawedspirit Stellar Dynamics (FSD) Incorporated thank you for your purchase of the LC-4300 "Sojourner" Light Exploration and Cargo Vessel.

The Sojourner is an unlock level 15 CV, meant to act as an mid-game single player cargo hauler and mobile base to explore the cosmos in. The ship comes with three 320 kSU cargo boxes. The ship has a dry-lift capacity of 20.9 kt of cargo. In addition, "Heavy Lift" mode allows a load of 77.8 kt of cargo to lift off vertically on a 1.0 g planet. This is sufficient to lift the ship with every cargo container on board (including the ammo container) filled to maximum capacity with combat steel blocks. In addition, the "Military Thrust" mode allows a faster forward travel speed, even fully loaded (41 m/s in space; more than enough for warp travel).

WARNING! This ship is not 100% CPU compliant. The ship will have an efficiency of 81% with tier 3 CPU upgrades.

The structure is comprised mainly of regular steel and carbon fiber to keep weight down. The Sojourner is divided into five compartments (Bridge, Crew Compartment, Hangar Deck, Shield Compartment, Engine Room) with combat steel bulkheads between each. The front and rear hull are also combat steel. This is to prevent an enemy from easily holing the ship fore to aft with sustained fire.

Please note that this is not a combat-oriented CV! While the ship is outfitted with plenty of weapon hardpoints and turret options, it has not been tested in extreme combat scenarios. It can probably hold its own in combat with POIs unshielded but it is not built to handle PVP.

The Sojourner features:
- 3x 320 kSU cargo boxes
- 1x 120 kSU ammo box
- 7 turrets included (3 minigun, 4 cannon by default)
- High downward and forward thrust modes
- Power Save mode for use when landed/docked
- Port and starboard 7x5 hangar doors
- Bottom entry ramp for people/small HVs
- Room for 18 grow plots (not included)
- 2 large constructors
- 2 fridges and 1 food processor
- Full medical suite plus additional cloning station
- O2 station and armor locker
- Repair station
- 2x2x2 expansion bay for an extra device (aft of farm behind O2 station; good place for offline protection device)
- Room to add repair bay and console
- Room to add a shield generator

All good. I just love the design style. I'll probably try and mimic one for myself but I'm not sure I'll be successful lol.

I'm a bit busy at the moment but I'll work on one, yeah.

Just a question. Are you going to have a Starter CV made for your line up? I love you CV designs and have subscribed to all of them.

Yeah I remember on YouTube that some people praise Halo ship design for being practical. Loved the frigates...Most of the bigger ships though look like giant boxes with rockets strapped to them.

@The Salty Snake Chef

That seems to happen everywhere. I go to build something, suddenly surprise! Halo! Probably because the ships are nice and boxy and utilitarian-looking, and that's my favorite style.

Looks like a Halo human Frigate. I'll sub an eventually make it in game for that alone lol.
