Goki's Things [Abandoned]

Description
This mod is no longer being maintained and certain updates have made it generally not worth using. It will likely impact your gameplay experience in unexpected and unwanted ways.

If you wish to port any feature from this mod into another mod feel free, but it will receive no updates from me.

A collection of spells, perks, items, game modifiers, tweaks, fixes, loadouts, and compatibility features for Noita.

This mod contains an in-game config menu. Click the button found at the top right of the screen while in-game to open the configuration menu and use it to toggle options and custom content.

I highly recommend taking the time to tailor the mod to your liking. My intention is to offer a selection of options for the player to choose from, not for every option to be enabled. Every change this mod makes can be toggled on or off in the config menu.

@Vegan420

I dont know if you're using the Spell Labs mod but I was and that one definitely seems to be creating some conflict. Once I disabled Spell Labs the game ran fine with Gokis Things.

i'm here for the performance optimisation but if the mod is broken then that's the opposite of the desired effect

Dark Lord Goki's reign of terror is over, Goki's Things has been hereby BANISHED to the 16th page of most popular mods by the new Steam workshop algorithm (finally an algorithm that doesnt punish modern mods!!!)

Steam will let us edit prior comments the same day they let us resize the UI text with just CTRL+mouse-wheel (like *every single other* modern app / browser hybrid that exists) and the app no longer steals focus on-load. Meaning, never gonna happen.

And perhaps the 'curse' of the instability of the .lua of (abandoned) Goki's Things is a secret Holy Mountain perk you earned along the way (along with the friends!) in this journey, and someday this pain will be useful to you. ;) Cheers.

@Ксандр there is a rework from Copi that's being worked on (the elusive Copi's Things), so hopefully people can go there instead when that's finally done

top 1 mod with Spell Lab:meatytears:. Wait for update(that's not going to happen) or rework from another author

@davidb11
t was a great mod, I call it cursed because it has inexplicably gotten less and less stable over time despite the fact it should still work about as well as it used to, the "Goki Curse" as it were, where this ancient mod inexplicably gets more unstable despite the fact the code doesn't seem like it would have issues on modern version.
Some functions have been deprecated and changed over the years, but even beyond that, its rate of destability is almost unnatural-

Hope that clears that up, I have always been a fan of Goki's Things, and it was with a heavy heart that I stopped using it cuz its instability lead to too many crashes for me to continue using it lmao

I don't think it's fair to call it a Cursed mod just because it's dead and buried.
That's a bit mean.

IT was a good mod for it's time.

Reminder that this mod is and has been abandoned for over 3.5 years, to be 4 year this december. This cursed mod has only gotten more unstable as time has gone on. Goki has long since moved on from Noita modding, so it is unlikely to see that change or see any more mods from him.
There is an upcoming sort of "successor" in the works named "Copi's Things" by Copi, but it is not yet available on the steam workshop (though it is downloadable off of GitHub). It currently has a lot of spells, some perks and p much no GUI, but it is actively worked on
