I dont know if you're using the Spell Labs mod but I was and that one definitely seems to be creating some conflict. Once I disabled Spell Labs the game ran fine with Gokis Things.
And perhaps the 'curse' of the instability of the .lua of (abandoned) Goki's Things is a secret Holy Mountain perk you earned along the way (along with the friends!) in this journey, and someday this pain will be useful to you. ;) Cheers.
t was a great mod, I call it cursed because it has inexplicably gotten less and less stable over time despite the fact it should still work about as well as it used to, the "Goki Curse" as it were, where this ancient mod inexplicably gets more unstable despite the fact the code doesn't seem like it would have issues on modern version.
Some functions have been deprecated and changed over the years, but even beyond that, its rate of destability is almost unnatural-
Hope that clears that up, I have always been a fan of Goki's Things, and it was with a heavy heart that I stopped using it cuz its instability lead to too many crashes for me to continue using it lmao
That's a bit mean.
IT was a good mod for it's time.
There is an upcoming sort of "successor" in the works named "Copi's Things" by Copi, but it is not yet available on the steam workshop (though it is downloadable off of GitHub). It currently has a lot of spells, some perks and p much no GUI, but it is actively worked on
